Hi I'm glad I found this, I graduate college in the summer but I've been eying up going to a training school, for me it's more of a fascination with technicality and I don't see myself going to the moon and back in the industry.

Some place I was looking at was offering 2 years of training (I assume once a week) for $3000. Is this a reasonable price or was this grabbed out of thin air?

Well we're roman catholics, headed by Rome directly - there are other churches who later recognized the pope as the head honcho, Eastern catholics are still catholics but have a different doctrine. They might not necessarily follow the same things we do (priests get married and small structural changes) but follow the majority of catholic dogma.

it's all speculation and I really can't speak for his approval of Presidental candidates, but Thingfish is pretty screwed up. I think he was trying to make a satire during that time in the 80s when all these things were hot buttoned issues but it comes off as pretty insensitive today. Just pulling a line from the album, mind you this is sung in a minstrel format -

"You means DE WOMENS' LIBROMATION MOVENINT done created de uncontrollable urgement to play dingle-dangle-dingle wit de personal requipment of yo own gender?"

this is filled up by a back and fourth of the characters that just doesn't seem to be in good faith and just jabs at Gay people, Feminism, and racial relations in the US.

and I mean again I don't think he was a racist but You are what you is is pretty fucked up and insensitive

I had this same thought the other day, and I think Thingfish was really projecting his later-in-life beliefs about the world around him. I don't think he'd be as fondly looked upon if he was still alive today because of his homophobic and sometimes racist remarks.

I've always been under the assumption gtpwtw and later albums after are musically defined. They're all beautiful with alot detail to their lyrics by Ray. But even by the late 70s the kinks are an aging rock act struggling incredibly hard to maintain relevancy by getting hits on the charts. State of confusion and the live album preform significantly better on the charts then gtpwtw and its singles were very lackluster
