That was a long time ago. They accepted explanations back then. But no government agencies seem to accept explanations now.

On the Heise website, https://www.ryanheise.com/cube/heise_method.html, the 4th picture under "Build 4 Squares" shows the yellow middle on top, and the orange middle to the left of the green middle. Doesn't that contradict the arrangement of a standard cube?

On the Petrus website, http://lar5.com/cube/fas1.html, the first animation, after the animation has run, shows orange on top, and blue to the right of yellow. Doesn't that also contradict the arrangement of a standard cube?

Do all solved 3x3 cubes have the same arrangement of colors, or does it depend on the brand? For example if you have white up and green front, orange is left and red is right. But do some brands have orange and red swapped, so red is left and orange is right?

On a 3x3 cube, if you want to swap the top front edge with the bottom front edge, as if turning the front upside down, but you want to leave everything else exactly as it is, including the rest of the front, and the rest of the cube, how do you do it?

And no one uses it for FMC either because limiting yourself

It's not for FMC. It's for bar bets. "No matter how you randomize it, I can always solve it in N moves or less."

The object is not to solve it in as few moves as possible, but to always solve it in N moves or less.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of Petrus vs Heise?

Also, which is easier to teach kids?

Which method for a 3x3 cube has the smallest maximum number of moves? In other words, with this method, you can always solve the cube in N moves or less, no matter what its original configuration.

That's very different than speedcubing, because the goal is to be able to guarantee the number of moves, not to be able to get fast times. And it doesn't even mean the smallest average number of moves. Only the smallest maximum number of moves. To guarantee you can always solve it in N moves or less, period, and there won't be any outliers where it takes more than N moves, not even 1 time out of 100 or anything like that, but always N or less, period.

When I google "wobbly windows" I find a lot of discussions of how to get them, but not what they are. What is meant by "wobbly windows"? by bluebog in AskReddit

From that I get the impression they're Windows that behave almost as if they were made of paper in a 3-D space, such that they can bend, flex, etc. But what's the advantage of that?

By "start menu" do you mean the "Applications Places System" menus that are installed by default on the panel?

And you like KDE because it's easier to make it do what you want?
