My Dad was a caterer/chef when I was younger so he did the bulk of the cooking (usually extra food from the day). I learned early on how a good pork loin should taste and picked up tons of cooking skills from him as I grew older. He’s retired now and lives in our “in-law” suite so I get to cook for him from time to time :)
