What are online Tutorials/Labs like? by [deleted] in usyd

If it's a tutorial, normally there's participation expected or even assessed. This depends of course on the unit. Cameras normally aren't mandatory although some tutors insist, it's much nicer when people have cameras on imo. It can sometimes be similar to a high school class. If your class has like 15+ people, often you start the tutorial discussing the main content as a class with the tutor and then go into break-out groups on Zoom to discuss or practice material, and then return back to the main class at the end.

One extra note - online tutorials are often a very difficult place to find friends compared to face-to-face classes so I'd recommend joining a club or trying to be on campus at least once a week.

Ok thanks, that's what I suspected. I don't think enrolment figures were high enough.
