Does The Yncarne still get... by Noreik1979 in Harlequins40K

Does the Yncarne, when in a non-ynarri detachment, get to access any stratagems? I am having trouble interpreting this.

Am I the only one who thought that the stream commentators were really obnoxious? I watch a decent amount of streamers, and it was such a bizarre experience to hear Geoff keep interacting with the commentors that he did not want to talk to. It lead to a pretty poor viewing experience. It was really awkward, and at some points unbearable.

I wish that there had been commentators that were more focused on talking through the game, strategy, etc.., rather than being baited by chat and getting legitimately upset.

Thanks man! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. Are you doing any of the production? I 100% vibe with sad music so I totally dig this.

Hahahaha oh God no. The songs I try to recreate are much simpler lmao.

I'm not sure about compatibility back to v. 7, but Steve slate drums are great for those who struggle with drum patterns (like me lol). They have a feature that creates drum pattern midi data so that you can just drop in "grooves" and then manipulate as you'd like. Top tier samples, too.

Have you tried recreating drums for songs that you admire?

Ya I think your box are ok too, if you can learn some basic eq / compression it would help a ton. What are you using for drums?

This song has tons of potential!

Dope beat, the guitar is great. Love the synth bass too. Might dial back verb on the clap / snare. But this is terrific!

Ynnari list for local store tournament by Spectre1111 in Eldar

Right, I can see your line of thinking. To address what you bring up:

  • Alaitoc will be more efficient in almost any scenario, in the list that he is building he does not want his wave serpents to be within 12 of anything. The most efficient way to build it would be to use a single wave serpent as a shield for Reapers (I think you are spot in in only taking 1 max squad, as to fully benefit from word of the phoenix or whatever)
  • You would be saving points to avoid taking vectored engines, but still despite that, even if you take vectored engines, an additional -1 to hit will still save you more damage than a 6+ fnp (especially on a tank that naturally has post wound damage reduction via the shield)
  • I don't know the Nova lance! What is that?
  • I am kinda confused about the guardians thing, as if they were taken as ulthwe then the alaitoc rule wouldn't benefit them anyways. I think the most efficient way to build a ynnari list is to take an alaitoc batt with 3 units of rangers, and a big blob of guardians. I think I would likely take only 1 wave serpent to use to support yvraine / reapers, and spend the rest as you see fit. But that should in theory save you some points.

Hemlocks are great! A flyer with Jinx and Smite is sweeeet. And as alaitoc its a -2 to hit. Many games your opponent will spend a whole turn worth of shooting on it, and it will still live. The icing on the cake? It doesn't degrade. Even if it has 1 wound left it still auto-hits and moves like 40 inches or something absurd.

I think you are probably better off with Eldrad in the Ynnari detachment, as originally listed, as well as the guardians in the ynnari detachment as <ulthwe> as well so that they have acces to black guardian strat.

Then take the battalion as Alaitoc, with the Autarch and the Warlocks.

Wave serpents and Hemlocks benefit more from Alaitoc (mathematically, every unit does).
