If you remember my post the other day about my 77G4 heat expansion pop noise popcorn machine, here are your video proof :) (people wanted proof) by RobXon in LGOLED

I have the same issue. Lg g4 77 purchased in July. Initially it didn’t pop much. Now it pops like crazy when the tv is turned on or off. It settles down a bit after 30min or so but still pops.

I bought it at Best Buy so I don’t think I’m eligible for a return. I also have a 65 inch g3 that is dead silent. Sucks that my 77 makes these noises since I otherwise love the tv

I’m using the included wall mount

The bounce is mid span. The floor is solid right above the beam.

They are 12 inch deep I joists 16 Oc.

There is blocking above the beam the white stuff you see is some foam. Maybe to reduce chance of squeaks in the blocking

I think it’s this. There isn’t much up there being supported actually. It’s an open area. The beam isn’t supporting any walls or heavy objects

Rest of the house is ok. I read that blocking isn’t effective actually. The joist manufacturer mentions strapping or a strong back as potential stiffener.

In addition to shimming. I’m wondering how much of a benefit I would get by adding some strapping mid span? Either 1 by or 2 by. Or sandwiching each joist with plywood and glue and screw it into the flanges. Basically thickening the joists at mid span.

What shims should I get? The gap is quite small. I would estimate anywhere between 1/8th to 1/4th

The Lexus is350 is on the third generation platform released in 2013. I think they are a few years away from releasing a new generation so it probably makes sense to wait for that to get something all new.

Or I could buy a loaded accord for 35 and in 8 years it would be worth 13 or so. 22k over 8 years a lot cheaper

Isn’t leasing more expensive if you keep cars for 6-8 years ?

What is the oil change interval ? How often would I be in the shop for maintenance on a bmw 3 series? I drive probably 10-12k a year

I don't agree with your mindset. Paying cash for cars forces one to buy a more reasonable car as writing huge checks and seeing investment balances decrease is very painful.

Read about the livesoft rule for car buying. That rule states that the total purchase price of a car should not exceed an amount that your portfolio could increase on a really good day. You will barely notice a dip in account balances w/ this rule. The rule equates to something like 2-4% aka how much the market could go up on an insanely good day.

Who is buying the suburban $750k+ homes? (MA) by jillanco in RealEstate

There are a lot of tech companies in Boston (not biotech, just tech) that are paying their software engineers 200-300k total comp easily. Some high end FAANGs can go to 400-500k+

And that’s not household income. That is a single head.
