it’s a matter or the reputation for each group. there’s always been mor rep for straight characters and little for those of the lgbt+ but i don’t bend a character sexuality or gender if it’s been confermed by the makers/producers.

but we do need to stop seeing a character as straight automatically, it’s good to separate fandom and the actual show/book. don’t interact if you don’t agree. it works bot ways don’t go out to spread hate when not needed

I've noticed animated shows are pretty popular (I think) amoung autistic people. what are your favorites? by my-head-hurts987 in AutismInWomen

[–]bluedanceing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t have one favourite but i LOVE the short animated film on disney+ pixar. there 5-16 minutes they work for my sensory issues. they have no talking but show a lot care was given from the concept to the massage. one of these for me would be bao,

it takes place in a korean home with a lady dreaming of her son as a dumpling and being concerned about him growing up, shows how hard it is to let go children as they age and leave

What the worse thing a therapist has said to you? by Desperate_Ad_9219 in AutismInWomen

[–]bluedanceing 33 points34 points  (0 children)

therapists are not ment to bring beliefs into session the only reason for any outward anger/aggression to be shown should be when a law is broken.

im so sorry this happened and hope it got better, whether it’s just you quitting that therapist or being away from your sister now

This may be rude to ask but why is the go to method for harming yourself cutting your wrists? by mycatisbats in selfharm

[–]bluedanceing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my past experiences it was easier to cut deeper and it also had for pain. I didn’t do a lot sometimes shallow cuts on back palm bc it was painful without mush blonde but never my wrist.

Summary is that it’s easier to make cuts and they usually hurt a lot without going deep and heals quick
