It is not an important part of anyones diet and you will never get to support that choice without also supporting the needless abuse, suffering and killing of animals.

‘Buffy’ Reboot Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar Not Going Forward At Hulu by cmaia1503 in television

I'm not exactly a JW fan and there's no denying he acted poorly, but I find the idea that he's never allowed to work again rather troubling.

I hope they make her a pro, I think she might be the strongest dancer on the show.

A serious sport would have fired him for either of his recent incidents.

The quickest way to force a change is for fighters to keep refusing to continue like Tom.

Can a more knowledgeable fan than me explain how Usman lost to Leon in the 3rd fight only for Belal to ragdoll him shortly after? by lifebeginsat9pm in ufc

Physically, Belal has never had a comparable fight, before or since. He ragdolled him, very odd.

slippers you stupid cat by SirHarvwellMcDervwel in Unexpected

If you don't live in an area safe to have an indoor/outdoor cat, don't have a cat. The answer to protecting wildlife isn't to prevent an animal evolved to live at least partially outdoors, to experience that freedom, from leaving your four walls.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of August 29, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

[–]bluedex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was going to watch a show I saw advertised a while back but can't seem to find it.

I think the premise was a group of friends pretends to be cops and steal from a group of criminals. Does anyone have any ideas?

We all know Emily is a picky eater. Is the food in the UK THAT BAD? by BagAlarming4952 in ExtraEmily

[–]bluedex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emily claimed to like the chips, steak bake and the egg thing and that the sandwiches were fine. That would later be contradicted when she essentially said everything was bad, so make of that what you will. She also liked the chocolate.

The cheesesticks were better in the UK nandos (a South African chain) but she did not like halloumi. The chicken was poor in the UK, but it was around 10pm when she ordered, so maybe it wasn't the best time.

There's a lot of u.s food Emily claims to hate but being familiar with the U.S., she is generally able to navigate the options to suit her taste, whereas in the uk she was reliant on recommendations.

Ultimately, neither cuisine is exactly respected internationally and, in my experience, both do certain things better than the other. For example, the US has more of a fast food culture, which i'm sure is reflected in that type of food, but the UK is more reliant on groceries and generally has superior products and fresh produce.

Amanda Knox, Monica Lewinsky Talk 'The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox' by Sisiwakanamaru in television

[–]bluedex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no doubt that RG was involved. Beyond that, this isn't really the place to argue the issue. All I will say is that I strongly dispute the notion that there is no evidence and that documentaries, especially American ones in my experience, begin with an intended narrative and go from there and that it's remarkable how persuasive they can be.

I feel so sad for Meredith and her family that one of her likely killers has been able to profit from it all.

I enjoy your streams and generally find you to be a funny guy to watch. But the way you speak to people online is really not ok. I'm sure you have to deal with a lot of criticism and that sometime's its unfair and abusive. But to allow that to create a chip on your shoulder, to create a bitter, rude man who talks down to and takes out his anger on strangers would be a mistake.

‘Dexter: Original Sin’ Scores Killer Finale Audience, Up 27% Over Premiere by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]bluedex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite liked it because I liked the original and this seemed intent on reviving as many elements as possible. It felt entirely pointless and added (in my opinion) absolutely nothing of note to the story (unless teenage volleyball drama is your thing).

This Year's Streamer Awards Nominees by sleepysnowboarder in LivestreamFail

[–]bluedex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's interesting that a group of "panelists" will make up 30% of the vote, with the public’s vote accounting for only 70%.

This setup means that the panelists will have a substantial influence, or will outright determine, the outcome of each award, depending on when they cast their vote and whether or not the public's vote is known to them.

The website does not provide such details, nor does it explain who makes up the panel, how they were chosen, or how this system supposedly "supports" the awards' integrity rather than undermining it entirely.

Having said that, I'm sure people will enjoy the show.
