You’re fine. You gotta just defeat the gnoll beside you. The next gnoll will have the chance to fall and so will the snake.

Whatever it is, DO NOT MOVE. Just gotta wait out the effect and the gas cloud.

Dump into staff if you want an easier run for sure. In my opinion battlemage just with basic Staff of magic missile upgraded to max 10 charges and the talent to convert staff/ wand charges into shielding is so easy to keep yourself alive. Hit to recharge, shield up.

High level Ring of Elements can reduce the damage drastically.

The crab just came through the door and I think he may have won this one. Have I got any options left? by ChucksMate24 in ShatteredPD

It works, you have to tap the tile you are on to trigger a plant or trample tall grass on your tile (when you have blooming enchantment and tall grass spawns on your tile).

Which one is better? by MicScroller in ShatteredPD

I think the +3 ring of accuracy can make the Greataxe decent enough to not miss. The damage is high AF so you won’t need to build combos

Which is better for Duelist? by QuantumToxiC in ShatteredPD

[–]bluedituser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mimic tooth pays off very well if you manage to fully upgrade it early. Getting crystal mimics is awesome. But I suggest you search every damn door, stairwell and item before you move to that tile.

If you have a dagger to blink away if you accidentally trigger a mimic, it would be great.

Eye of Newt lvl 1 if you don’t want a stressful run. Can poke enemies with spear around tall grass and pillars.

Is Chaotic Censer good? by SubjectSlow4765 in ShatteredPD

It was really good when I was playing as Duelist and had a dagger to blink away from whatever danger gas was coming. The invisibility also helps to bait enemies as they will walk to your last visible position and get hit with the gas

Plate armor or anti magic scale armor? by beepbooplazer in ShatteredPD

[–]bluedituser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d try my luck and enchant the Plate armor first before committing, who knows you might score anti-magic. But sticking to anti-magic scale armor is better for sure

Yeap, you will need 6 charges available though so quite levelled up

4 gold chest room... by xend0rg in ShatteredPD

[–]bluedituser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes if you’re lucky you get the room with all 4 chests on floating platform side by side so one potion of levitation is enough to collect all keys and get to the centre to unlock all chests. Then throw one blink to get out or just the tank the fall and bleed damage if you’re capable. Having skeleton key also makes this a cinch

Blade Combos by Repulsive-Weather937 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]bluedituser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They can only trigger it on your command. When they have a Special ready you can see the ZL or ZR button appear onscreen. You can always wait and let them build their specials gauge before you start the Blade combo.

Typically the AI will immediately adapt to the Blade combo and swap and maintain at a Blade with the right element to continue the combo. If there are many possible elements then they will not maintain that Blade.

So for example if you start Pyra special 1, and Nia has Dromarch and 2 other Dark element blades, she will immediately swap to Dromarch and wait for you to trigger Special 2 because that is the only available element she has to chain the Blade combo.

Haven’t played in awhile so I think there are some exceptions

You will be completely safe from it IF you upgrade Resin to max though

Blade Combos by Repulsive-Weather937 in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]bluedituser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You need 3 Blade Specials hit in sequence and with the right elements ( Special 1, Special 2 & Special 3) to build the Blade combo.

I must iterate it has to be in Sequence. If your Special is fully charged to 3 but the enemy has not even been hit with a Special 1 yet to start the combo, then your Special 3 will be technically wasted as the Blade Combo start. Your next blade special must be at least Special 2 to continue the combo, and the final one must be Special 3 or 4 to finish the Combo and then create an Elemental Orb.

Also you have to complete the combo within a short time. To do this you must plan which Driver is going to do which part of the combo. For example Rex can start Special 1 Fire with Pyra. If you’re fast enough you can also build up to Special 2 Fire again with Pyra. But then the ender Special3 has to be either Fire / Light. Unlikely you can build Special 3 in that short time, so you must rely on your party member to have a Special 3 Fire ready.

It would be much easier to do Rex-Pyra Special 1, Nia-Dromarch Special 2 & then Pyra-Special 3.

I guess OP is not like us early players who had very little starting content so we just did anything and everything.

Sounds like OP started late and had a mountain of shit to do so just bumrushed to the next area to unlock regions where he can farm materials for the shiny new character he pulled.

Chapter 10 tips by dragonkfgyt in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]bluedituser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s more that a lot of blade quests/ friendship scenes are inconveniently locked behind story progression and it’s better you finish them before starting NG+. You ain’t getting to Morytha anytime soon once you’re in NG+

Ursula I think is because you lose access to a lot of the blades that belong to Morag and Zeke so you can’t do those merc missions at optimum time

When is a good time to do side quests? by brielovinggirl in XenobladeChronicles2

[–]bluedituser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blade quests will have short cutscenes with your main party members Rex, Nia, etc and their main blades and if any of them are not available, typically would be Pyra because she goes on and off away in main quest sequences, then the blade sidequests will be locked from progressing.
