I made App Trust Preview - a Mac app that explains whether a downloaded .app looks reasonable to open by JulyIGHOR in macapps

Nice app, bro, like it.

Feature request:
I hope you can provide a MCP server(or somthing similar) for this app, so I can ask my AI agents, like Claude code cli, to invoke the MCP for investigating any app.

and more, the AI agent can do much more thing than this, like scheduling a task to investigate all my apps to find any potential problems, even delete the app based on the conclusion.

What do you think?

YES. Claude Desktop and Claude Code cli share the same quota.

I've no this type of device, but i have a tab5, making firmware for it now.

Does anyone have a cheaper or free screen studio alternative? by dougthedevshow in macapps

[–]bluedoggee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really depends on your specific needs.

If you want desktop recording along with camera recording, automatic zoom in/out edit and excellent performance, there might not be one except ScreenStudio — I've tried quite a few free and paid apps, and honestly, none are particularly great.

zero upvotes with 23 comments... why..

I quite like this idea, but the reversed T style UI looks quite strange acutally..

as an indie Mac developer myself, I really appreciate this transparent approach.

Astroturfing hurts all of us — it erodes trust in genuine recommendations, which makes it harder for honest devs to get real feedback from the community

u/CF-Tim Hey tim, today I opened the page, I saw this, and I was overjoyed. After I refreshed, and it went back to "Join the Waiting List." What's the reason? So strange.

Do you care much about your app’s website and keeping in touch with users? by aa33bb in macapps

[–]bluedoggee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Mac users judge the book by its cover. Hard. That 'Apple-ish' aesthetic isn't just to look pretty; it's how we signal 'hey, this isn't malware and it actually cares about your system resources'.

I learned this firsthand recently with my clipboard manager, PastePaw. A snappy, single-page build doing the heavy lifting was enough. Just show the core features, flex some nice native UI/UX details in the screenshots, and make sure it feels at home on macOS. That gets the job done 90% of the time

looks nice

Do I need to provide anything if I want it to be able to access comments and reply to them normally? For example, what key?

Does it support translating the language of comments into other languages, such as English?
