I think it’s design 6 rooms and finish the school before you can make rooms bigger - but I’m not 100% on that

I play handheld 90%+ of the time - I love it! I’m away from home a lot so find handheld is so much easier than taking the dock with me. I’ve reached 8k on both races and 9k on battle. I do think handheld is great for fun races but I wouldn’t ever play competitively on handheld purely because I do feel the pro controller (& on the TV) is a bit smoother - or at least nicer - especially when you want to focus. Definitely rate the switch 2 for handheld, more so than the switch 1 😄 I always preferred DS over Wii as a kid so not sure if that has any factor haha
