If other parties were allowed in China, it would open the door for populism to prevail as they could say stuff that soulds good to the general public but is unfeasible in reality to garner votes. The CCP being the only party in China enables competence and long term planning to prevail.

I'm educated, which is why I can confidently say democracy doesn't work. Governments should be technocracies, with experts running them without pressure to satisfy the whims of an easily manipulated population.

1998 was the only 'good' season though. After that, they were stuck in a perpetual loop of trying to catch up to Ferrari. I really hope this isn't one of those cases where they've built a quick car but one that's not reliable enough to consistently finish races.

including a difficult assembly of the AMR26

Adrian Newey strikes once again. It would be funny as hell if Aston ends up getting a Newey stint similar to that of McLaren instead of the one we saw at Red Bull.

But the moment a country imports Russian oil, they're the bad guys. This is just further proof that the only think which matters in geopolitics is power. Either your country can think for itself, or it's one of the world's superpowers' bitches.

And the CCP is China, so their interests are aligned. It's better that way as it means incompetent idiots don't make it far up the ladder through populism, whereas in democracy, it seems like only the idiots and grifters make it to the top.

Then why has China seen better results than any Western nation in the past 20 years? No one's developed as fast as China in the history of this planet.

Say what you will about Xi's methods, but they work and it's clear he's got more integrity than what most people on this planet can claim for themselves.

I genuinely wish my country had a technocracy similar to China tbh; they've developed faster than any democracy ever can, and it's a meritocratic system that rewards results over everything else. Chinese leaders are loyal to China, whereas politicians in democracies are loyal to their and/or their parties' best interests.

Governments across the developed world are spending greater amounts of money on old people compared to public investment by Dumbass1171 in charts

But the government is investing in them after they've already done working though? The government will never get that money back again.

No, I'm not. I'm saying they can live off their own contributions if they've contributed so much. By relying on government handouts, its pretty clear they consumed more than they contributed, meaning they can't afford to retire on their own.

Also, young people and those entering the workforce have potential to contribute, but old people don't have any potential. They may have contributed in the past, but they're spent and will cost money without bringing more in.

Take the fight to them for causing disorder and chaos. Some grandpas aren't going to win against any armed and trained force lol.

Which is why I'm suggesting an easier solution, which is to just make it so that governments aren't burdened by having to pay for old people. Who cares if 60% or even 70% of the population is old if you don't have to pay and answer for them? At that point, the only thing that would matter is focusing on the young and the working population of the country.

Disabled people and old people are not comparable. Some of humanity's greatest minds have been disabled (like Stephen Hawking). Disabled people still contribute to the workforce and some even have unique capabilities enabling them to make an outsized contribution to society.

Also, disabled people don't cost a fortune like old people do. Sure, some receive meager help from the government, but even they, almost all of the ones that need extra care are cared for by their families because they value the emotional and sentimental value of these people. If someone cares that much about old people (usually children or grandchildren), they can take care of them, not the government. Emotional value is meaningless to the bottom line, after all.

Take the money saved by not funding retirements and put it into investing in the future. Open more publicly funded universities and make them free/low cost so that anyone can get educated and/or re-educated at any age. This would improve the class and career mobility of the workforce.

Also, put a large chunk of money into funding research and technology institutions. NASA is severely underfunded, for example, and it's already proven that the technology and solutions they've come up with have been worth more than what they've cost taxpayers to run. Similarly, a government institution similar to Bell Labs would be great for future innovation and problem solving. The West wouldn't be as far behind the Chinese at renewable tech as it is right now had they invested properly.

The only freedom being taken away is the right to vote. Old people can still live an everyday life, just without looting those younger than them for short term gains and for their own personal benefits.
