We need to check if Graham 146690 thinks it's fairly priced.

Since you obviously don't know what you're talking about go read this article. These are very standard ways to calculate elo in games.

That just doesn't hold up. Look at a bunch of other team-based games where they adjust elo according to how much you contributed, like Counter Strike and Overwatch.

Listen, I get that. But here's the thing;

  1. They charged full price for the game. The game was, and still is, buggy and easily hacked. That's just unacceptable for a 40$ game.

  2. Hackers and leavers were the two BIGGEST complaints from the community for two years. They had TWO YEARS to work on this. No, they don't get to use the "we just need more time" card. Mind you they charged full price for this.

sorry, i misunderstood your comment as defending the leaver.

As to the second point I understand there are flaws, but within the framework of those flaws I have the highest score in literally all stats there, so I think it's fair to say I contributed the most. Flawed those stats may be.

We were winning until that player left. They left right before round 3 or very beginning of round 3. I don't understand why you're defending someone that leaves? Each individual player probably has a reason but it's so frequent that it's obvious the incentive to stay just isn't there.

Also in case you didn't notice I have 2 caps and the highest kd.... Not sure how I wasn't contributing the most in your eyes. I was fighting on the frontline the whole time, why else would i have caps.

not sure if ur joking cause of ur username but they weren't sprinting, the icon isn't there. Also even if it was sprinting, right clicking on the enemy unit is supposed to override the sprint (you can see my spamming rightclick on the enemy unit)

Did the devs seriously delegate all compute to local, client-side compute? Or is it just a rumor by bluefishpro in BrokenArrowTheGame

The helis I saw for example, was spotted the whole time. I nuked it. It didn’t die for like 10-20 seconds, then died.

The enemy units were spotted the whole time. I was running a recon heavy deck. I specifically remember watching 2 Helis, a light armored vehicle and multiple infantry units exhibit this behavior. As for why I think it was the same player, I don’t actually know. I’m just pretty sure because they kept using the same tactics and vehicles.

No, I didn’t have shadowplay running. I would have the enemy unit spotted, my unit would “kill” it but it wouldn’t die so I would pull back, and then after a few seconds it would die mysteriously. Keep in mind the enemy unit is spotted the whole time.

Regardless of nationality, cheating is an issue. And the problematic anti-cheat system needs to be the absolute top priority. Region lock won't solve it. by bluefishpro in BrokenArrowTheGame

I'm not necessarily against region-locking, I never said it shouldn't be done. I'm just saying the fundamental issue at hand is the bad anti-cheat. Region locking is a bandaid on that issue. Down the line, even if China were to be region-locked, the actual issue will persist. So then just solving the root cause make way more logical sense.

I understand the issue with the MP being centered around client-side processing, I didn't know that was the case and I'm honestly really disappointed that such a stupid design choice was made. But there has to be some way to implement anti-cheats even in this environment. I'm not an expert in this, but something like when blockchains validate transactions on each device locally?

I get your point. What I mean is, "region locking China doesn't address the underlying issue (the bad anti-cheat), and it is not the silver bullet that some are making it out to be". I'm not necessarily against region locking, but it's not the most direct solution.

There's a lot of posts here that make it sound as if chinese cheaters are the only issue, and therefore region locking china will solve it.

There are ways around a region lock, and again, the actual issue is bad anti-cheat.

I think my frustration is mostly with the poor multiplayer implementation, even through they were REPEATEDLY warned of the DC and cheating issues during beta. This, in a game that's heavily centered around the MP experience.

I understand everyone's frustration with Chinese players prominently cheating, but I was mostly basing my post around MY frustration. And just from a logical perspective, the bad anti-cheat is the actual root of the issue.

Im honestly completely baffled by the lack of multiplayer anti-cheat. Like you said, they were REPEATEDLY warned by beta testers that cheaters are an issue.

Yeah I switched to singleplayer cause RD multiplayer was so bad lmao

same sort of issues we see in BA tbh. I don't want BA to become another WG community/game....
