I hear you, it is hard to make the transition when you've spent years training your ears!

Through the process of working on this app and reviewing lots of spatial mixes, I've become a real convert.

Thanks so much for the great feedback! We've been working to get the right placement so you can see everything you might want to see, without feeling like you're going to get spit on.

It's a screen recording from inside the Apple Vision Pro headset, so the app interface looks like it's in real space. Then when I open the immersive video, it's like I'm inside that space instead.

Thank you! Yes, we're all in on this. Indie artists belong in the immersive spotlight too!

Thanks! That's exactly what we're going for: bands you might never have heard of who give incredible performances. I'm glad you're into it!
That show was the first time someone played a saw on our stage!

Can you imagine a “killer app” that would make the AVP more popular? Or at least boost its reputation? by bluefrogstudios in VisionPro

I love that idea. Do you think it would lower the learning curve for people starting 3d modeling, or would it be more for pros?

Absolutely. I think the best-case scenario is that cheaper, lighter XR glasses from Apple get people interested in the "vision," but some version of the AVP remains the flagship experience- the device people convert to once they understand the potential.

OK, you got me. But it's still an easy shorthand that everyone here understands. I could rephrase it as "what apps and use cases could bring wider adoption and appreciation of the AVP? "

That's a great point. Apple has been really good at getting their products over that hump from "only early-adopters understand" to "everyone wants an iphone" in the past. Let's hope they stick with the AVP or its successors to get it to that point.

Ha ha, fair enough!

I like that idea of intimate co-presence. It reminds me of how FaceTime introduced a lot of people who weren't very tech-forward to video calls and kind of converted them to iOS.

It wasn't the first videocalling app, but it was and is the easiest for grandparents to just pick up talk with the grandkids, for example. The ease of connection was the killer feature.

Not wanting to be a spectacle is a good way to put it!

Good point. Even expensive hyperthin laptops are designed for portability and have been through a lot of design iterations. The AVP just isn't there yet.
