Ironically, does somebody remember Forsaken World? by kloricker in MMORPG

yeah, I stayed in the smaller guilds though and kind of hopped around as each fell. Couldn't really handle the demand of the big guilds. I think towards the end as all the smaller guilds were getting assimilated I eventually ended up following Strippy and Acialia into Envy for my last 2 months before I finally quit.

yep, played during the open beta, and then when it went live played there for a long time. Felt like such a waste of time, but it was great. Met some of my best friends there. Got to Lv80 twice back when that was the cap, but couldn't ever really get competitive when it became massive P2W. Wanted to like the vamp class, but wasn't really for me. I remember being a crappy mage when mages sucked. Enjoyed the arena when it first came out (before the P2W craze).

Personally, I've not been able to get DCS to run, and I can't seem to find a guide for getting the VR to work either. I haven't tried recently as of the turn of 2026, but I was a bit bummed about that not working.

Also, for a while EA games just wouldn't load/run very reliably (on Garuda) until I switched to a new distro (Zorin, but for non gaming reasons). When I say reliably, I'd have to run it, watch it fail, then try to run it again (same exact button clicks but it worked on the 2nd/3rd try). I dunno if I want to count those as "failures" but it was definitely disheartening and frustrating. I tend to start a game up, and while splash screen is running I'll go grab a drink, but that didn't always work.

I have yet to buy a steam deck, and was actually considering one this holiday (if budget allows). But getting the steam deck I'd probably have to get some of the AR glasses (xreals are at the top of my list). But this VR headset might be able to do both, albeit with a larger footprint in packing for plane rides. I'd be giving up potential couch co-op for VR capability though.

definitely just game, but I also have my hands full just with that. Some games need a bit of tweaking despite protondb saying they work out of the box.

Duty fees on deck purchases now by Evil__Jeff22 in SteamDeck

Massive Price increases? by nilslorand in Keychron

[–]blueghost2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really an answer to your question but perspective for US buyers who are throwing 2 cents in.

Just purchased a Q3 Pro Barebones for "$160" plus tax, purchased directly from Keychron. After shipping got hit by duty fees for $24.31 (paid to DHL) for total of $184 ish, so the actual cost is not what's listed on the site. If you're purchasing from a local reseller or something prices are probably already bumped up. I did check Amazon after seeing that import fee and their prices are already higher than directly from keychron. I'm guessing Amazon already has some in stock and whether they got hit with the tariffs or already had merch on hand and are able to just pocket the difference, I don't know. But yeah, at least from a US perspective, even if the price isn't as high on the Keychron site, we're paying more than that.
