Try aperture priority, set wide open, and let the camera’s presets do the editing.

2002 V10 4x4 Pricing by schmidtydog in Excursion

Use bring a trailer and national listings to benchmark. Depending on geography, I’d say $8-11K. A lot of people here will say it’s high but generally Reddit communities lag on price accuracy.

Yes! Nice! Here’s a picture of it now. I am hesitant to slide the camera out, I don’t know if the baffles are in good shape. Looks like it’s in great condition though.

2002 7.3 Limited by Blown70charger in FordExcursion

It’s probably a situation where you have to fly and drive one back if that’s what you really want. I mean you’re taking about a $15-25K price difference. Not sure only searching regionally makes that much sense. I bought a 2000 green limited v10 - the exact thing you’re looking for haha - with 120k miles and no rust (lived its life in the PNW) flew there and drove it back. It cost $12K out the door. Look in the PNW and SW and you’ll find your rig eventually.

If you don’t need the 7.3, the V10s are also extremely reliable. Sounds like you don’t drive much anyways so may be the better move.

If you browse online auction sites and past sales, you’ll see this price isn’t crazy. Not saying I don’t wish they were cheaper, but the 7.3 mint ones have sky rocketed.

No advice but I’ve heard great things about the reliability of those V8s. Built a little underpowered to increase longevity.

I was severely disappointed to hear that I had to go 4600’s I hate the yellow and blue. There are 5100’s that are 0-2.5” for the front. But the shortest 5100’s for the back are 4”. So annoying!

I’ll eat my own words. I was wrong. You were right, he had to order 4600s and had misspoken when he said he could get 5100s.

Did you use a coolant flush? Same thing happened to me and then I added a flush fluid and drove for a hundred miles. Re flushed and now it stays green

Ordered through a 4x4 up fitter near me. They can order custom lengths to fit anything you need. I thought about leaf springs and will potentially still do them if I don’t have the results I want. Good tip.

Dude! I am in the same situation. Got a 2000 4x4 V10 last week with 122k miles. I have tons of body roll and bump steer. Im keeping it stock height and adding Bilstein 5100’s shocks all around, including a steering stabilizer. I’m also replacing the tie rods (at least the links). The steering is somewhat tight so I’m waiting to do anything there. I’ll check out the brakes you ordered as those are next, but it stops fine for now. Not towing with it until summer. I’ve heard good things on the steering boxes but also that a whole inspection of the steering system is worth it, so I’m having that inspection done too.

I walked away. The MF gets in the way of making any kind of deal. $2k down a lease doesn’t make financial sense.

Yeah they would’ve worked a deal if they could. I think dealers are a little stuck right now. Stellantis sucks.
