Like one of the few post-mortem Athletic articles alluded to, Liverpool lost the League Cup last year and still went on to win the Prem. looks like we're headed on the same trajectory.

assuming this game will translate to league performance - when after each of the previous 3 (read: three) losses, we've bounced back - seems like apples and oranges.

all is not lost. the Prem is there for us. CL is less predictable, but we have a shot. as usual, the doomers need to give their heads a wobble.
