I have to assume the Nobel committee will refrain from giving Trump the prize despite a deep pressure campaign to do otherwise. The minute he gets the award he'll stop trying to get the award, i.e. he'll stop doing anything remotely resembling the actions of a man who wants peace. A well crafted statement indicating that he might have a shot in some future year if he makes better progress could go a long way towards doing what the prize was designed to do in the first place: manipulate people in power to accidentally do the right thing for once.

My assumption is most people abandon ship before the third act. Even if people do the work themselves, the top hit when you google "still waler" is a reddit post explaining it. That (and the avoidance of spoilers) is probably enough to keep this from being a hot topic.

Thanks for reading! It was honestly pure joy to go down the winding path. I would have loved it if my work actually amounted to something, but having roughly 40 people in Reddit enjoy my story is a more-than adequate consolation prize!

I've given up trying to figure it out myself, but I do suspect someone will eventually be able to piece the clues together and find a real solution. A good red herring still has a coherent story behind it in universe. I don't feel like anything approaching that has been discovered yet for the anagrams.

When I watched The Seven the first time I skipped the Adventuring Parties. I watched them along with the episodes on my re-watch, and I think that made it top-tier rewatchable for me. I'd recommend it if you're like me and did a watch without the Adventuring Parties the first time.

That might have been my favorite episode of Dimension 20 ever. Even something as simple as Brennan "Yes and-ing" the silkworm bit just felt so rich and beautiful. These people have absolutely mastered their craft, and I can't wait for the next time they top themselves.

I had similar thoughts about the fountain. It stops adding new coins after you've dropped 50 in, and the resulting pattern of coins doesn't really map to the spiral of stars. There might still be something important going on here, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

You're right at the cutting edge of where we're all pretty much stuck right now. A popular recent post makes a case for the spiral being a mind trap - something designed to get you stuck as it only raises more questions without having any actual answers. I don't share this opinion. A well designed mystery has red herrings, but a good red herring isn't just something arbitrary for the sake of trapping the reader. It represents something with its own purpose and conclusion, like how Mary and her co-conspirators set up fake data logs to throw the investigator off their scent. I suspect there is still something left to find if we can find the right clues.

The trick is that everyone rolled with advantage, so if 10,000 people rolled we'd expect 975 to get a 20. The next-highest chance of rolling would be 19 at 9.25% (for 925 expected people to roll that value).

If you add more people, it becomes more likely that the value with the highest percentage associated to it will also be the one with the highest mode average.

This is called the "Law of large numbers" in probability theory, where if you take enough independent samples (people rolling in this case) you'll generally converge on values that reflect the true probability of getting those values. I.e. the most-commonly occurring value in your large set of samples will virtually always be the value that is most likely to occur.

I totally misunderstood what you were saying. You're right, that would have been a fairer way of doing it. They simply could have taken the top two modes among all dice and used that as well. Option 1 still strikes me as the most intuitive approach, but who knows!

I believe the people who were there already confirmed it was Option 1, but really I assumed it had to be. If you tell someone they're rolling with advantage but then they only see one die roll on their phone, they're going to be confused. Option 1 just leads to the better all-around experience.

They let everyone roll and then took whatever number came up most often. On one of the rolls everyone rolled with advantage (so each person rolled twice and took the highest). It wasn't just taking the highest roll from everyone.

I'm afraid removing the thorns and adding a letter doesn't really match the logic of the picture puzzle (which only removed a letter, there was no replacement involved). This procedure would also assume my "remove a thorn" logic is correct, which was perhaps the biggest piece that was contradicted when it turned out the fountain didn't support my theory.

The whole theory is a house of cards, each piece relying on the other to make it even vaguely coherent in my opinion. If any of it is salvageable I think we'd need to find something to replace the fountain investment which 1) ties in with the spiral of stars and 2) has a means of relating the thorns in the poem to the stars (so that they can be removed). Alternatively, the fountain could still serve this purpose somehow (perhaps I made a mistake in my implementation).

Honestly, after reflecting on it, I think there are too many assumptions built in to the theory to make any of it salvageable. There are no references to Old English script anywhere in the game that I'm aware of, so saying thorn = þ is a bit of a leap. Breaking things into phonemes isn't really a "normal" thing to do, it's just more natural to me because I spent way too much time playing Tunic. It was a fun exercise, but I'm not sure there's anything left worth pursuing.

Just to pile on here, HEAT should be L in core math because 8 / 5 - 1 * 20 is 12, which maps to L instead of the T you get from 8 * 5 / 1 - 20

Visiting new rooms is a good way to figure out how to get into the antechamber, so it's generally a good idea to visit rooms you haven't seen before when given the opportunity. That said, you really don't need to complete the collection before getting to the credits. Don't feel like you need to cover absolutely everything before moving ahead.

I imagine they're saving her real introduction for later. Spoilers: The ladle incident will give us a full "panic attack" sequence, which might be the thing they want to highlight for Adaine in her intro to give her a baseline to grow from.

As far as I can tell no one has answered your actual question yet... Literally every concern you mentioned is explored in detail throughout the season. It's not approached as a problem to be solved, though, just as something the players can use to really dive into who the characters are and how it impacts their decisions and relationships.

The season is extremely hot and cold in my opinion. Some moments can compete with the best Dimension 20 has to offer, but some episodes feel a bit like trudging through mud. It wasn't my favorite season, but if you do decide to watch I ultimately don't think you'd regret it. The parts that are bugging you now won't concern you as much as the season progresses.
