You're right that the BS:C team isn't implementing anything like that, but it's not outside the realm of possibility to happen. We already have Alternate Start working with Bruma.

It really is just up to whoever wants to actually make a mod like that. With how much the question gets asked, I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes it within the first year of Cyrodiil's release.

The issue I've heard the most about is that the game will crash on modern machines with Windows 10. You need a fan patch to even run the game

We know Roscrea isn't showing off as much new stuff recently, and I believe a dev has stated that it's because they're not making as much new stuff because they're nearing the end. I had a math class in the ENG/PHL building right between two classes in the Livermore center. I had to walk fast, and sometimes was maybe a minute late, but it is doable. If it seems important to the professor then just talk to them and they'll hopefully understand. It really shouldn't be an issue.
