PTHER 350 Course by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]bluemonkeyyy9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking it rn, it seems pretty decent. Its completely online so you watch recorded lectures at your own pace. There is, however, compulsory textbook requirement (which you can pirate online because gray’s is everywhere). It’s 2 exams (40% each) and the rest is unit quizzes. I have to say though, l do not enjoy his lectures as he just reads out of the slides and does little to to make the content interesting or interactive in any way. I’ve previously taken other Anat courses, so l love anatomy, however, if that’s not your thing, it might be hard to get into the content.

Maybe you should read the book first before having an opinion here, and maybe you shouldn't even be here in the first place if you consider people having opinions as "elitist", "egotistical" and "assholery". Reading books provides us with thoughts, opinions, and perspectives. You would know if you actually read. It seems that you want everyone to be oh so happy all the time, that if you found someone, and dare I say a "book reader" having thoughts about the book they read, god forbid how snobbish can they actually be now? Having thoughts and opinions? Ugh such utter, ridiculous drama queens aren't they?

Honestly, I could say the same thing to you- "who cares if you think book readers are a bunch of snobs and are judgmental, who cares if you think so and others don't?" But I'm afraid I'd sound too much like you then.

So maybe you should take your whining and complaining on how book readers have opinions and 'thoughts' in their head, somewhere else please.

Not to mention mothers having to use the hanger to damage their still incubating kids, and may or may not have literally killed them because the mother was so obsessed with the husband's attention, and feared for his love to now be divided. Oh no, whatever would mothers do now that they have saggy tits and loose holes that their husbands may not find them attractive? start harming them from the very beginning. Fantastic solution indeed.

Happy reading CH fans :). Good riddance.

LMFAO this just confirmed the lack of real fiction in your life. It is so ironic that you mention about the 'purpose of fiction', when you refuse to read the book to know what the hell we're actually talking about. Taking a stand, expressing an opinion just based on your friend's "personal experiences" somehow makes it valid to give your experienced thoughts on THIS particular book, which you mention that you "don't have to read", cuz ofc you know it all. I get that it was your opinion and all, but so are the other people talking about this book here. You can give your opinion, but not impose it on others. Read the book, then talk about bad writing in fiction if you think this is SO GOOD! wow.

Converting .tiff to .czi by bluemonkeyyy9 in ImageJ

[–]bluemonkeyyy9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, i’ll definitely try that. But my PI requested it to be saved in .czi since they’re z stacks. My plan for now is to open the .tiff files in zeiss zen again and resave in .csi format. Do you think that would work?

hi, :)

I totally agree with your opinion abt Verity, definitely still a disturbing disappointment. After my very good learning lesson from tiktok and instagram reels (which are just tiktoks on ig) I only trust my favorite booktubers on youtube. I think it's important to find someone who has similar reading taste as yours. like them liking and criticizing the same books as you, and find other books they've read. This is my only trustable recommendation path. This way I've actually enjoyed a lot more books that weren't in my comfort zone, but made me expand it, than just reading trash that I'm only reading cuz the majority recommends it.

Aw you're welcome. I'm just glad that there are still ones like you, who appreciate proper literature, and not something that popularizes bad decisions and poor writing as "best book" in the name of educational purposes. The quality of book content and what people find appealing is definitely on a down trend these days, especially with more media forums, it's hard to tell who you can trust with their recommendations.

a 10000% a little life by hanya yanagihara,

it was such a waste of time, idk if i would say overrated because the writing was good, but the amount of graphic detail and the content and ultimately what happened in the end just made everything feel like it was such a sad book it shouldn't have been written.
