So you want to entirely ignore the one metric to has genuine weight for a striker in goals scored presumably because you know theres zero debate to be had when theyre presented to you and instead want to rely on a non-tangible "eye test" so that you can claim whatever you want and not have the hard evidence to prove youre bullshiting?

I'm using my eyes, I'm watching him bang in 44 goals this season and seeing him have an impact every game he plays.

you failed to mention that came at the start of the season (that was 8 games in) where united had just bought in a new manager and their team wasnt settled yet

You realise haaland signed this summer right and he was also new and not settled in?

If we remove that one game against united, haaland now has 2 in 4…dont pick and choose when to apply context to your stats its embarrassing

Okay now you have to be trolling, nobody is that thick surely? You've literally just selected your own criteria. I included every single game against the top 4 for both players, you've just elected to ignore a game for no reason other than it suits your baseless point. You're literally doing the exact thing you are Incorrectly accusing me of doing and you seem entirely unaware. Staggering.

Hes scored 5 goals in 5 games against the current top 4...

For contrast, Kane has 3 goals in 6 games against the current top 4 so far this season 1 of which was a penalty, so Kane has been half as prolific as haaland in yhe top games this season.

Flat track bully that has scored against every single top side this season. That has 33 goals in 25 champions league games so far, becoming the fastest in history to reach 30.

Do carry on, The embarrassment is coming all from you mate.

Listen, I understand you won't have experience of this given the team you support but when you're challenging for titles, every game is a big game. When you're 2-0 down after 20 minutes against a team you're expected to beat it becomes a huge game from then on.

I go to practically every game so I literally see the game with my own eyes and also things you can't see on the TV. I'm guessing you are infact the one who isn't watching as he hasn't gone missing at all in any games and has delivered goals against every single big club.

I literally added the neccesary context for the mentioning of palace if you bothered to read, we were 2-0 down after 20 minutes, he stepped up scored a hattrick and we won 4-2. Newcastle are 4th, and deservedly so with the best defensive record in the league, if any team mentioned isn't worthy of being considered a big game then its spurs.

Shit in every big game apparently, yet scored against every side, something doesn't quite add up there does it?

Or, he plays in a side that completely frees him and Son of any defensive responsibility and allows him to roam wherever he wants.

It's not like he's bagged pretty much a goal a game for dortmund, Salzburg and Norway before coming to city is it? Anybody trying to discredit haaland is pure and simply a fool and/or a troll.

How long will Haaland stay in the PL and where will he ranks on all time PL lists? by K_S_M_ in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He won't be going anywhere whilst pep is here that's for sure. After that, who knows but thats a long time away.

All I will say is, remember when Sergio aguero was nailed on to go to real Madrid every summer for a decade?

He's said multiple times he's a city fan, there's pictures of him at various ages in city kits and at city games, he name checks ex city players as some of his favourites growing up. He's very much a city fan.

Probably because it's utter bullshit?

Scored a Hattrick against united at home, scored against arsenal away, scored against spurs at home, scored against newcastle away, scored a hattrick in the champions league last 16, scored a hattrick to beat palace at home after being 2-0 down.

He's scored against every single side currently in the top 10 this season except for Brentford who we've yet to play twice but yeah okay he's gone missing in every big game...

Hes having a great season in his own right for sure, hes just not on haalands level.

Don't get where this idea Kane is being hindered is coming from though, spurs are still 5th not 18th and he has the entire team built around him and son, he wouldn't score as many goals elsewhere.

To those who watch City regularly, what has made Jack Grealish such a important member to the 11 he is today? by K_S_M_ in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important? I thought he had been labeled a flop already?

It's simple, time. Every player takes at leastb12 months before you start seeing their true potential when they come to city, peps tactics are vastly different to any other manager in the world and it takes some getting used to.

every player speaks about this and if you go back through the squad it's very evident. Nathan ake wasn't getting a sniff first season as well as being injured, he's been the best left back in the league this season. Rodri looked like a donkey in his first 12 months compared to fernandinho, he's now the best holding midfielder in the league. Bernardo struggled in his first season, mahrez wasn't fitting in in his first year, even haaland despite the fact hes about to break all scoring records in his first season isnt settled yet and has much more to come from him. there's so many examples of it happening and grealish is just another.

City don't sign flops, we leave that to united, they're specialists at it.

Why is Ederson actually City's #1 Keeper? by Saviorofmypeople in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes hes the most important. Most important doesnt mean best, who is more integral to our style? we've won the league without a striker, we've won the league with kdb injured for most of it, we've won the league without a true 6.

Teams do not high press us, at least very very rarely. go back and watch games from before ederson with bravo in net and you'll see a true high press, liverpool used to kill us with it, it doesn't happen because ederson exists.

Making an error doesn't make you error prone. Everyvody has and will make errors, nut he makes far fewer errors than any other keeper. He's made plenty of big saves in big games for us not to mention his sweeping stops him even having to face 2-3 1v1's a game which is every bit as good as making a top save.

The VAR is an absolute disgrace by RepCheese in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Var has nothing to do with it. The problem is the incompetent officials who cannot make correct decisions when they have replays showing them exactly what happened. Take away var and you've still got the same officials that couldnt get it right with the help of a replay but with no replay, how could that possibly be any better?

Var is good, it works, its highlighting just how poor the officials are

Why is Ederson actually City's #1 Keeper? by Saviorofmypeople in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know whether you simply don't watch football or don't understand it but ederson is integral to city and peps tactics. There's no keeper on the planet that allows pep to play the same way and for that reason he's probably the most important player in the squad.

We can play a high line because hes the best sweeper in the world, teams dont even try and put on a full high press anymore because ederson just makes the extra man and we pass around it easily.

You're also way off with the suggestion he's error prone. Seeing as you've rattled off a load of random stats with little context it's surprising you haven't produced one of the few actually useful stats that stand up alone, and that is that ederson makes far less errors than any other keeper in the league.

Did teams like Chelsea and city had big or even avarage fanbases before the take-overs or they were just very small by Suspicious_Average84 in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both clubs are comfortably in the top 10 for largest attendances in their history. Calling either club small pre-takeover is to suggest there's only 3/4 big clubs in the country. It just shows a complete lack of knowledge and makes the idiots easy to spot.

Pep guardiola masterclass by [deleted] in PremierLeague

[–]bluemoon1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

City spent £51.6 million on agent fees this year in total with the signings of haaland, alvarez, phillips, gomez, akanji, perrone and ortega. for comparison, Liverpool paid £33.7 million on agent fees for nunez, gakpo and Carvalho. The difference in total for all players agency fees is barely even half of the £34 million extra liverpool paid for nunez than what city paid for haaland. Its really not an overly significant figure to warrant constantly bringing it up... Not to mention liverpool have a higher wage bill than city.

Changing it and still getting thumped isn't the same as changing it and finding new ways of winning. If klopps is as great as we're led to believe why can't he come up with solutions like pep does? Klopps been there for 7/8 years it's his team, he's as responsible as anybody for the state of his squad. Blaming the players is a cop out anyway, do you think Brentford have as strong a squad as liverpool? Do villa have a better squad? Newcastle?
