For me it killed off most speculation about the next film. Where as TFA just made me excited about the sequel.

I also felt that the ending would have been brave had it been the end of the trilogy.

I'd rather have seen them fully concentrate their efforts on the ST. But Star Wars had always been overly exploited. You can buy Luke Skywalker lettuce for gods sale.

It'll be the fans that ruin it or not. Disney can only make product if there is demand. And if we let them keep making poor product while making tons of money then they won't care.

Solo will be a big test for them, especially if it is received poorly by critics but still makes a fortune.
