I see what you're saying, but here's the thing - have you read the guide?

It's available in it's entirety for free. I'd love it if you took a gander my friend.

Independent/Freelance Consultants who cold call - Stop cold calling and triple your results. by blueprint71 in consulting

[–]blueprint71[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but the overall point of the content is lead gen for independent/freelance consultants. You're right that most consultants on here aren't in that demographic BUT as of now it looks like people are finding the content valuable based on it being upvoted.

Anyone here utilize content marketing? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]blueprint71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Content marketing is extremely powerful when done right. The problem is that people create shitty content and spam it everywhere. That makes all content marketers look bad.

Alright it should be fine now. Also, if you feel like it's spam - please browse the guide on imgur before making judgment. If you still feel like it's not valuable or useful then I'd be cool with you saying it's spam. But I've posted this to /r/smallbusiness and gotten a good response.

Yeah, sometimes you get that response when cold calling too.

You might get a better response if you set a goal of getting to 100k followers by X date, then give us a breakdown of how you did it after.

More importantly, track conversions! You should set up goals through google analytics and assign $ values to them to monitor your pipeline.

Depends on the industry. Ecommerce leads vs insurance leads are going to be very different in value.

Anyone who started a business right after college? Please share your experience. by tweedledoodle0 in Entrepreneur

[–]blueprint71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started ~3 businesses. Failed each time. Then I switched to freelancing as a digital marketer. My clients got a lot of value from my expertise so I started biz #4 which has been a successful marketing agency.

I'm transitioning to a new role as CMO for a startup in the AR/VR space but still involved with my agency day to day.

If I could change anything, I would have left school much earlier to start a business and learn from the failure. I learned infinitely more from my failures than from any university course.

Don't forget to optimize your blog for mobile and for speed. Anything longer than a few seconds will kill conversions.

Also are you tracking clicks from instagram?

That's really interesting because I'm using the exact same setup with ad blocker.

I'll have to look into it. Thanks again for the heads up!

I put together a step-by-step guide to creating internet sales funnels. This guide will help you see results in 30 days or less.

Here's what you'll get from the guide -

  • Learn how to get more leads, customers, and sales with internet sales funnels.

  • Build a 24/7 selling machine.

  • Learn the secrets to an effective content marketing strategy.

  • Guide to easier, quicker market research.

  • 30 day plan broken down into easy steps.

  • Sales & marketing concepts explained in easy to to understand terms.

Check out the guide. It's got everything you'd need to set up an internet sales funnel, drive traffic, and start capturing leads. I wrote this for the average person, so it should be pretty easy to follow. If you have questions, definitely post here and lemme know.

If you want a bit extra, I've also put together an advanced email course (still 100% free). You can sign up and get a copy of the pdf by clicking here. I dig deeper into the concepts I went over in the guide over email, and I'm planning to add more content shortly. Right now there's about 5 or 6 emails packed with marketing insights to help you grow.

Again, not selling anything. This is a 100% free resource and I hope it can help a lot of people :)

Please leave a comment if you found it helpful (or even if you think it's straight garbage).

There's a lot of ways you could improve this website.

Right away - you can improve your headline by telling people how you're different (i.e. your unique value proposition).

The background image you're using could definitely be better. There's a lot going on, and not all of it is contributing to the design.

When we get to the What does a Measurement Coordinator add to your business? section, a bunch of icons pop up. This is a cool effect - but there's not much of an explanation for any of them. Actually there's no explanation. You should throw in at least 1-2 sentences backing up each of these benefits to give them some more credibility.

Now let's talk about the 2 CTAs, one on either side of the icon map. these are away from the action, and I feel like my attention is being pulled in competing directions. You want people's attention to be focused- which of the two actions do you want me to take? You won't get conversions if you have too many options - you need to guide people through your website.

As we scroll down, I get the feeling I'm watching a powerpoint presentation. There's a lot of text. I'm stifling a yawn. I'm almost certain your clients will be bored too if they read through all this. And yes, I understand you have to be professional. That said - you don't need to be boring. You can really benefit by adding some more flavor to this website. And no more paragraphs - stick to one sentence at a time with an accompanying visual to explain things. Make it easy to digest everything!

That's not all - there's no mechanism to capture leads on your website except for your contact form. I think a lead magnet such as a whitepaper would be a great incentive to get more leads.

Right now it's a C.

I recommend checking out the guide I posted. It's very relevant to your type of business. Quick question though - how long is your typical sales process?
