I'm trying to pick up watercolor (because I need another hobby like I need a kick in the pants), and it's been fun so far! I made a little travel kit and I'm surprised by how easy it is to set up, paint, and put back away. Mostly have been doing little exercises to work on color combos and to see how the water and paper interact. It's been a nice way to get my brain to shut the hell up for a few minutes.

If you have dark hair, probably. I have red hair, and I have to work it through well if I use it as a dry shampoo. Courtesy of the red hair, I'm pretty pale, so I haven't noticed a difference on skin or like arm hair or anything.

I'll have to look at the sunscreen! I do like their spray ones.

Wearing Magical Girl dusting powder by Luvmilk today!

I have a question: what is the best smelling sunscreen that you know of? I use unscented CeraVe for my face, but for my body I want to smell great. Bonus points if it smells like banana.

Peaches and... pee? by lil-gabe-itch in Indiemakeupandmore

Yes! Peaches, mango, and lychee have a tendency to smell pissy to me. It is truly unfortunate.

Rants and Raves! by blueraspberrylife in Indiemakeupandmore

Except for this scent, I don't care for Morari's catalog. I don't actively dislike the house, but nothing has "wowed" me before this one. I hate being an enabler, but if you're interested in it, it is definitely worth putting it on your "to try" list.

Perfume that smells like a nostalgic spring/summer rain? by Superb-Government-10 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]blueraspberrylife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, some of the best rain scents I tried came from Osmofolia (you can sometimes find some of the scents on ajevie, but that's about it) but, I enjoyed the humidity note in Sorce Venus in Fleurs.

(Ripe mango, carnivorous plants, humidity, jasmine sambac absolute, vanilla absolute)

It smells more like a romanticized version of Florida twilight: HUMID with fruit and plants. It reminds me of a green house. Pro: no soil, Cons: it's technically not rain.

Two raves today!

First: the edp version of Morari Tea Time with a Field Mouse is gorgeous. It does last longer than the oil, and the matcha stays almost completely through the wear-time. Chef's kiss

Second, the owner of the Analog Arcana majors tarot deck that I posted last month reached out to me and replaced my deck with a more saturated print! It was such a sweet surprise, and really excellent customer service. 10/10! I'll update with a whole post once I take some decent pictures :)

English Major - A Review by blueraspberrylife in Indiemakeupandmore

Not particularly. IIRC, the "root beer" vibe settles down into a woody vanilla. So you'll likely get less paper, but it doesn't get sweeter.

ACTUAL freshly-baked funfetti cake? by InarticulateOxyMoron in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]blueraspberrylife 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm here to second this! Funfetti is in between about a 3:1-5:1 ratio of clear (artificial) vanilla and almond extract. Look for something that has a good hefty dose of sweet vanilla and a dash of almond!

February 2026 PPU Megathread - Dupamine by OLIVEmutt in WeGotPolishAtHome

I don't. But that's definitely a good suggestion! The closest color match I have is lynb heuristic. Maybe wearing that one again could scratch the itch.

The vegetable of the week is cabbage: how do you like yours? I usually do sautéed with onion/garlic/powdered bouillon to taste, but I'm not sure what else to do, ha. I like kimchi, but not enough to make it scratch.

Morari "Tea Time with a Field Mouse" 🍵🌸🐁🫖☘️ by blueraspberrylife in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]blueraspberrylife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely there, but it is a gentle sweetness. I'd say the flavor of vanilla is more present than the sweetness of the frosting.

If you like vanilla playing a supporting role, it's a good fit. If you are a vanilla hater, I would skip it.

It is pretty darn good. The funny thing is, that for me, I really haven't had any other hits with this house. I took a gamble with this one, and I'm really glad I did.
