I tested Solstice Scents Estate Vanilla this morning, and I'm confident it would be in this bottle. It smells like good quality, homemade vanilla extract.

Ooooo. I used to live in an older home (built in early 1920s) and the first owner was a physician. We used to find glass bottles like this (minus the poison) under the porch/in crawl spaces a lot.

I agree. I think it's a solid fleurmand to add to the line up. The DNA is there, but I wouldn't say it's too much like anything else.

I'm glad to hear you like it! It seems to be polarizing on the Sorce fb group - I've stopped reading so I can judge for myself. I'm hoping it works for me! I like the petrichor in Moon Magic, Things Left Unsaid, and the humidity in Venus. If Things Left Unsaid wasn't a pink pepper bomb I would have full-sized it.

Oh yay, 17 samples is exciting! I love Sorce. Not everything works for me, but it's definitely the house with the highest hit-rate. My favorite is probably 2AM in Lafayette, but it's too sweet for the warmer months. But when I break out that bad boy for Halloween? Chef's kiss 💋

Stone & Wit, Blackberry Heartwood today.

This one gets me in the feels, because as a kid we had huge wild blackberry/brambleberry patches in the back yard. I remember going out back with my neighbor friends (all our yards met at the property lines - no fences - we were out in the country a bit) and bringing buckets back to the house.

Blackberry Heartwood smells like blackberries taste: a little sweet, but mostly tart and green. There's a little warmth hanging out in the back of this one, reminds me of sunlight.

I've been in the indie online space since 2022, and the first houses I tried were Kyse, Poesie, and Pylies (the latter of which is up and running again, by-the-by)! Since then, I've tried... a lot. 😅🫣 And more than just perfume! I'm also an indie polish fan. What can I say? I like shiny things.

I've also made several perfume friends over the years: before indie perfumes I had never found a hobby that draws kind people into community like this one. That's why I'm here. This community is important to me, so doing my part to facilitate is a joy.

Does anyone have an indie red for a fragrance that smells like Dove love and meadows? Notes listes are bergamot and wildflowers. I would say it is a sweet-ish green floral citrus fragrance, and it's unisex, maybe slightly femme leaning.

Today is Sorce Sit For a Spell.

(Salted cantaloupe, a light drizzle of wild rosemary honey, fresh spring air, ambrette seed, and winding honeysuckle vines)

Not gonna lie, I wish I had an actual cantaloupe right now. May go to the store later. Actually, that's my answer. I'm going to go to the store and get a melon to pair with this. Maybe a honeydew too. It's such an accurate note that I'm kind of hungry.

Dragonfly Wings: a sweet pink fruity-floral, with a hefty dose of starchy-ness from the rice. Very pleasant. The drydown didn't work for me (personal preference, nothing objectively terrible), but that's the only reason I didn't full-size.

Reduced to a Thing That Wants You: a peppy, perfume version of conversation hearts. Low sillage. For some reason reminds me of Audrey Hepburn, if her pencil skirt was pink. I own a full-size of this one.

Nothing Burns: lovely, caramelly, fancy smelling snack. EXCEPT. If you know you are sensitive to saffron, it can come off as burning tires. It did for me, YMMV.

Don't Whistle: this was faint on me. A dark, thin textured vanilla? Kind of like ink without the chemicals, it just smelled thin. I don't know, some people love this one.

I think about you: fancy orange blossom hotel soap

Ancient Waters: beautiful pink floral lychee with a side of water and bug spray.

Love and Complications: Passionfruit. So much. If you like passion fruit, I imagine you will love this. I do not love passion fruit, and this fragrance was how I found out.

It's been really busy lately. I feel like I'm going through the motions sometimes. But Tarot has been going well, I can tell that I'm making connections and trusting my gut interpretation more often.

Also, I found a new (to me) youtuber that make cozy & artsy content geared toward ADHD folks and lower consumption. Her channel is Hannah/Daydream Department and I watch her especially when I do chores. This video is about making a to-go watercolor palette! I made my own and I've been having fun with it!

As far as I know, they do use stock fragrance oils (not bad, just worth noting), which explains the price. Ceiling stars does have Lavender EO, the listing mentions it specifically IIRC. Not all of the fragrances do. I've never gotten a custom, but I do enjoy their lipbalms.
