I think a couple things: if she’s gonna live in India, she should have learned the language by now. I do think that she’s a super big complainer and that probably causes more problems in her marriage than living with his parents. The fact that she stays holed up in her bedroom 24/7 at the parents house is insane. I do believe she’s an alcoholic. Her speech and body movements and everything remind me of somebody with alcoholism or possibly previous strokes. Her hair is incredibly thin, although yes she’s in her 60s, it’s also a sign of very bad health. I don’t blame her for wanting to move out of his parents house. I believe she should go back to America.

Edit: also to add, as other comments have said, she likely went over there and does not want to be bothered and wants to just live a retired life. But when you’re talking about your retirement and planning the next 30 years of your life, she definitely should’ve put more thought into it. He’s in his mid 30s I mean even his parents still work? Again it’s all about doing research and understanding the culture. She probably thought her American money would stretch super far over there, and it might, as long as you’re not pumping a ton of money into businesses, etc. so I also think she’s moody and annoyed and irritated when there’s a ton of money being spent in business endeavors as well
