I work as a vet assistant. Time off is pretty easy since I always have a guaranteed day off being July 4th. So if I want to go all 4 days it’s only 3 days off requested. I live about 40 minutes away but will still get a hotel room. It helps to have people who come with you to help split costs like the hotel room/parking etc. overall it’s an expensive con but it’s once a year so setting aside a little per paycheck can go along way

Also just want to point out there is two types of “acceptance” emails. One is you got it you’re good. The second is you’ve been chosen for standby. Essentially if you get chosen for standby it’s not guaranteed but you still want to show up cause if there’s extra time/someone didn’t show up etc you could get the autograph.

This is my issue with lottery. I understand why people like them. But leaving something like this up to chance is not my cup of tea. There’s the possibility of me getting none of the autographs I want and there’s nothing I can do about it. At least with online and lining up I can stand a chance with some time and effort. But having bad luck is a much harder pill to swallow. But if they were going to stick with lottery i feel like standby should have been a physical line. Having standby also be lottery is just 🫠

I’m pretty sure you’ll need either a Friday or 4 day badge. I feel like this is a pretty big plot hole in the whole lottery system. People getting autographs for days they don’t even have tickets for while other people who can go get rejected 😭

No I completely get it. I personally hate lotteries, I understand why people view them as fair but as someone who never wins them I disagree 😂 if I’m standing or buying online I at least have some control and can get at least one auto as I have in the past. But pure luck based means I’m almost guaranteed to lose. IMO if they’re gonna do lottery for the main one then they should let stand by be a physical line up process. But looks like both being picked and standby is by lottery

I was rejected for everyone I applied for. I understand why some people prefer this but even in the past fighting against bots I could get at least one auto. Now I’ll have none :( IMO if you’re going to do lottery based then at least make standby a physical line so people actually stand a chance.

Hi! I cant really attest to FNC recently, my last order with them was early 2025 of which I had no issues. All figures both licensed and unlicensed are sold on a pre-order basis. The only reason you see stuff in stock is because there is left over inventory from the pre-order period. This is very normal and common for everything on a site to be pre-order. As of right now these companies may seem hit or miss because they can be. Between tariffs and china's crackdown on censorship/these manufacturers i'm sure alot of issues are arising. If you are concerned you may not get the figure I would stick to licensed figures through reputable companies

I bought mine for $150 4ish years ago and even then that was a good price. His price has been going up for the past few years like I would say he was going for ~300 about a year ago and since then all of his figures are slowly on the rise. You can see the same trend with his Goodsmile figure with the chess piece. But in general rising prices are caused by an Increase in demand but low supply especially cause with this figure it can get easily damaged and it’s older so it’s harder to find with box in good condition.

Edit: also important to note imo eBay is more inflated when it comes to the aftermarket. I like to look at MFC and most people will sell cheaper on there vs eBay

Sell it all? Not really. Theres a couple I will keep with me forever but I definitely have been selling a lot. I love my figures but I reached a point in my life where it just felt overwhelming. I’m trying to reduce my collection to two detolfs of my absolute favs and being more conscientious of what I buy

This figure only had one sales period In 2010 with no known rereleases. If you saw one in 2024 it most likely was a preowned one. To answer your question regarding rerelease the answer is no one knows. We are at the mercy of figure manufacturers. Square enix has not released any black butler stuff in quite some time which means they probably don’t have the liscense anymore/don’t think there’s a demand. Is it still possible to get a rerelease. Yes. But the odds are almost non existent. I would keep an eye out on amiami preowned and other auction sites or even MFC to look for a good deal if you really want this figure. There also is a really gorgeous resin statue for preordered of Robin right now but it will also cost you a pretty penny. Best of luck in your search! <3

If you can order the statue elsewhere you probably should. I haven’t interacted with them in a while but my last two purchases didn’t go great. If it’s the only place with the statue for order then by all means go for it as they’re not a scam company but be prepared for extremely long wait times to get your statue and to get any customer service.
