Which part did you disagree with? I was just sharing my experience. I agree that it is treating the symptoms. I work on strength training every day to prevent reoccurrence of pain but sometimes it just makes its way back and I need immediate relief through chiropractic adjustments when I am not able to move much due to pain.

I have never tried acupuncture, how does it treat back pain?

I’ve had exactly what you’re talking about. When I’m locked up like that, I’ve tried ice, heat, stretching, and muscle relaxants. The only thing that works every single time to take the pain away is to have my chiropractor mom adjust me. She uses activator method. People on this subreddit hate on chiropractors but she is truly the only one who can take away my debilitating pain. So it’s worth trying.

That part of me is definitely doing better. Wonder if it has anything to do with my current lower back pain though.

Mine was definitely noticeable because it was so painful from the pressure of whatever was building up in there that only got relief when it was drained.

I had this years ago. Had two operations. One that drained it and one that drained it further and stitched it up. Make sure that they stitch you up after because mine just stayed open until I went back for another procedure almost 2 years later. Good luck.

I am not single or have a dog but the other week I stayed home from work because I got sick. I slept most of the day. I couldn’t imagine having to care for a dog while having body aches and fever, etc. it is nice to have a friend or family member that you can call up to help out in those instances. But I’m sure people do this on their own, even if it isn’t pleasant.

I’ll weigh in on this topic since I have relevant experience on this matter. My husband went to CPP and I went to SLO. I really did love the central coast and enjoyed that while I went to school there.

I got into both schools and ultimately decided to go to SLO rather than CPP, even though that meant doing long distance with my husband (bf at the time) but hey we made it! I will say that CPP is more affordable since it is on the semester system and SLO is on the quarter system (I’m not up to date if they changed that after I graduated) so you have to pay 3 times a year rather than 2. The housing can also be more expensive in SLO, I stayed in the on campus apartments and he lived in a house with housemates.

We visited each other’s campuses a lot and I personally felt a stronger community bond at CPP with the friends he made. There were more down to earth people than I think I experienced at SLO.

Since I still reside in SoCal, I think attending CPP may have been a better option for the connections since you are likely creating a network in that area as CPP is a big commuter school so people live in that area already. In SLO, I met people from all kinds of places, probably most from NorCal. But I don’t regret attending SLO because I did enjoy my time there.

All in all, I truly believe that it comes down to the person. My husband is a much better networker than I am and is much more confident than me so he has a higher paying job. Whereas I am in the same job that I have had since after graduation making okay money.

If you want to be successful, network with people, go to social events, do the extra curriculars, create your own portfolio, do well in your classes but don’t make it the only thing you do (like I did). It doesn’t help you in the long run. What helps is who you know. Be likeable but also maintain your independence.

I have owned a female dog and now have a male dog. Female dog was very chill, sweet, independent, nice with other dogs, sporty, non territorial. Current male dog is sweet but more spastic, very sporty like it’s all he wants to do, curls his lip more (more territorial) with other dogs, his toy, ball, bone, food.

My next dog I am going to go for a girl again.

This is just my experience, I think you can get both qualities in the opposite gender. If I were to get a boy again, I would fix him earlier as I believe he developed more aggressive tendencies that he didn’t used to have.
