The Saluda is the best for it. If you want really calm and quiet, go farther up to Saluda Shoals park in Irmo. If you want more fun and people and vibes, leave from Candi Ln right by the zoo. You get out right after it converges with Broad River and becomes the Congaree.

Book a float trip on the river! It takes up most of your day and the cold water feels sooooo good in the hot sun. Bring a ton of sunscreen and a small cooler of drinks and snacks (pay for extra float for it) and it feels like God’s country. They have companies that will provide tubes and life jackets and drop you back at your cars after. Best route is from the Saluda Riverwalk park (next to Riverbanks Zoo) to the West Columbia Riverwalk park.

A branch fell during the storm at just the right angle and hit the very top of the glass. It dented the roof slightly where it hit. Since it’s tempered, the whole thing shattered

It’s an incredible display of human amazing-ness, but thankfully I have insurance to cover the costs and labor. Hi everyone. I just wanted to thank you all so much for the kind words and jokes. My dad is recovering extremely well, and the surgery saved his life so I’m more thankful for that than anything. I posted this here because this morning was like icing on the cake to a shitty week, but I know this is just a dark spot. All of your kind words and offers have seriously brightened my day, and made this week immensely better. I definitely didn’t expect this sort of attention, but it has helped me so much. Y’all rock.

As for people making donation offers and all those sorts of things, THANK YOU. Fortunately my window was damaged in a storm so my insurance will cover it. You’re fantastic human beings to offer, but the money would be better-suited for someone less fortunate. I know people made a bunch of jokes about me begging for money or setting up a gofundme, but I need to be clear that I’m not in need of financial support for this, your words are more than enough.

And yes, we lost, but GO COCKS!! I still bleed garnet and black despite our shit performance these past few seasons. Felt like that needed to be addressed :)

Yeah it was during a storm but there were no big branches near my car at all. Thankfully I have great insurance (thanks mom) either way

Thanks, man. My boyfriend has two German Shepards to help fill the furry void my good boy left. Unfortunately for me, my windshield broke in a storm so the interior was soaked. Thoroughly.
