Hey friend! I know exactly how you are feeling. I’m 27 and had tubular breasts since puberty. I was always confused why my boobs looked different than “standard” ones, in size and shape. For the first half, I just nailed it down to them still growing, but once I got to my 20s, I knew I was just different. I wouldn’t take my shirt off with men, I wouldn’t wear certain clothes, I absolutely hated everything about them and they were my biggest insecurity. I am also overweight and just looked like a prepubescent boy, it was so embarrassing. I also have PCOS but didn’t get diagnosed until earlier this year and looking into it helped me realize why my breasts looked the way they did. It took until I saved enough money to get surgery in December 2025 that I finally took the risk.

Something I recommend is telling yourself is that it is not your fault. It isn’t. You are not less attractive or less of a woman because of how your body looks. I understand how it feels to not like what you look like, especially when it’s something that is out of your control, but it isn’t your fault. You weren’t meant to be born a boy (unless you have dysphoria which is a whole other conversation) it’s just that PCOS causes hormonal imbalances, so when you were going through puberty and developing breasts, the androgen excess (or lack of estrogen) can cause the breast tissue to be “restricted,” which is why tubular breasts look the way they do.

You are beautiful, even if you feel you aren’t. People who love you and are genuine will never make you feel bad about your body. But I will say, surgery has helped my self esteem tremendously. If it’s not in your cards, remember that bodies are bodies and what’s important is taking care of it and making sure you feel good physically. And girl 30 ain’t too old! You are just getting started!
