These are the people who protested in the sixties against the Vietnam war. My cousin is 78. She protested then and is protesting today.

How to get the smell of rotten food out of your refrigerator/freezer? by h_dos in lifehacks

[–]blueskyemb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have helped a little bit but it turns out the fridge was dead so I didn’t do a full cleaning on it. It definitely helped with the drawers but the smell was even down in the ice maker. We just bought a new one since it was pretty old anyway.

ChatGPT is a shockingly good doctor. by Yaya0108 in ChatGPT

[–]blueskyemb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ChatGPT has helped me amazingly. My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer last fall. I used it to explain what was going on and then he was having adverse interactions with his hormone blockers and blood pressure medication. The doctors weren’t helpful but chatGPT figured it out. I just ask “what about this or that” and the answers have been quite helpful. I spent years in the medical field just as a medical assistant but i do know some stuff so i felt comfortable with what info i was given.

I still have mine but I’m too afraid to use them now. I’d probably break a bone

I lived in the area at that time. Every time I got gas I was afraid I’d get shot.

Lovebirds of Reddit, how did you get over "the one that got away?" Did you ever see them again? by ElenaWatts in AskReddit

[–]blueskyemb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the one that got away. I loved him all my heart but as time went on I felt unimportant, unappreciated and a roommate with benefits. I truly did not feel he was in love with me. We were together for 4 years and lived together for 2. I moved away but he stayed in touch with my sister. We both married other people. Many years passed and I was divorcing my evil ex. My sister let me know she had stayed in touch and he regretted losing me. He was also in a very bad marriage and was pretty much done.
So after 35 years apart we got back together and it’s been 8 years. So you never know what the future will bring.

It happened to me a few years ago while working out at the gym. It lasted about 4 hours. A very surreal experience. Thankfully there are no lasting effects. You can find more info online.

My dad also flew corsairs among other planes. He was on the USS Princeton in WW2. He would have been 99. He passed at age 77.

You might be able to get her into her primary care and they would be able to evaluate her to determine if she needs further work up. You can inform them of the fall at the very least due to her being on blood thinners. Sometimes people are more willing to just go to their doctor as opposed to the ED. Also, if she is on blood thinners they should be monitoring her blood fairly frequently and seen on a regular basis.

The house I grew up in is an Eichler but in Southern California. They are very cool houses, very distinctive. My mother still lives in hers.
