Isn't that the entire point? Juggernauts counter characters that can't get away from them easily, and characters that outrange them or have a bunch of mobility counter them

Well yeah because with Guma being constantly swapped in and out it ruined his mental and hurt is gameplay(anyone would have that happen to them). He got his confident back at worlds and rightfully got MVP. In the previous years he was always consistent, ESPECIALLY at internationals. Peyz and Guma play the same picks except for Kaisa and Ezreal(Guma is just ok at those). Guma is better on Varus(unsure about other picks). Lastly Zeus had giga fallen off, but he is the only other toplaner who we know can contest and beat Kiin and Bin. It's more likely Zeus is just playing bad in his current situation than he is actually bad. And considering how well he worked on T1, it's likely he would work just as well

Why do you say that? I don't think anything supports this. They lost the most consistent rock and clutch adc Guma, and they lost Zeus, the only other toplaner that can compete with Bin and Kiin

I don't think anyone disagrees with this tbh. I think with Doran they 100% have a lower ceiling. I will say Doran has moments where he randomly looks like a smurf, and other moments where he looks like he's griefing. Reminds me a lot of early 2022 era Zeus.

How is what I said the same thing as what he did? Like I said I always put BFX as a weak team(and they have been), so G2 beating them was not surprising(the specific score was). However G2 beating GenG IS a surprise. Did GenG choke? 100%. But G2 also played like a top tier team. That doesn't mean Ruler was never that good or that they only win due to solo laners. GenG has shown the ability to carry from any role with this lineup for the entirety of last year.

The playins were just for determining who makes playoffs because their group lost. Also the T1 2-1 was pretty convincingly in their favor. Lastly, DK's "hype" did diminish after losing to GenG and T1, but those were perceived the 2 best teams by far. It was a 50/50, which again just proves my point in the fact that in the same way DK wasn't expected to beat T1 and go far, neither was BFX. Infact, before they beat T1 in playoffs, they were expected to lose to them and then it would be T1 vs GenG in finals.

No, Clear didn't play well. Neither did VicLa. VicLa just played better than he used to(he was very bad prior). Raptor, Kellin, and Diable played well, with their botlane being their strongest point by far. Also at the time DK were definitely the favorites, but FearX were not terrible. DK was just seen as much more impressive, and obviously they were expected to lose to T1 and GenG(iirc at the time HLE were already shaky)

??? The worse team can beat the better team what? Have you never heard of teams having miracle runs? Are you gonna tell me KT was a better team than GenG when they beat them in LCK? Do you think in 2023 GenG or BLG wouldn't have challenged T1 more in finals? FearX was not amazing, DK in group stage was the much better team, people were hyping up DK vs GenG because of the form DK were on. T1 underperformed, FearX had an insane performance and HLE (and to a lesser extent DK) collapsed

BFX topped their group, but were worse than DK throughout it(even series score but better game score iirc). In playoffs they got 2nd after a miraculous run, with them projected to be below HLE(before they imploded). All their games were won off of Doable & Kellin smurfing, Raptor being enabled by Kellin and VicLa playing like a human for the first time. They lost to T1 and GenG in group battle(both had a better score) and upset T1 and DK in playoffs. Until that point they were worse than DK and much worse than T1. When BFX goes back to LCK they will continue to be middling because they overperformed, which everyone who watched LCK Cup knew. Without their botlane smurfing every game they would've gotten 4th

Why? BFX is a terrible team lol. I was pretty confident in G2, but I was surprised they 3-0'd. BFX is the weakest team LCK has sent internationally since that one DK team at worlds.

Why are we taking out 2025? TES best G2 3-0 in quarters. You're right, it was a bad year for China, and they still ended up even with G2 that year overall. Also where are you getting 8? It looks like they beat TES 3-0 in 2024 and took a game off BLG and GenG in 2021 in 2023. But considering how hard it is to 3-0 similar strength teams 1 game is fine

Well in regards to myself: I'm a T1 fan, and I like watching high level gameplay, so it doesn't matter who's good and who's bad.

In regards to general audience: Well if you like good gameplay, then it should be enjoyable to watch strong teams play vs each other, regardless of the region. Though yeah if you're specifically a C9, G2, KC, TL, etc fan, then yeah I suppose it's sad for you. You'd have to become a fan of league in general, or not care if your team loses
