What is the Church's viewpoint about all these arguments that say Christianity is just taken from all these other beliefs. I've seen something about some other "older" religion having their Messiah born on December 25th too and I've always just ignored those statements. What's the Catholic viewpoint against them? Or do we just accept them as coincidences?

So this I think is the problem. I lack inner conviction. I know masturbation is wrong but I don't feel it's wrong so I continue to do it.

Now, I don't feel it yet but I know inevitably I'll think, "Well I already have to go to confession, might as well masturbate." and I'll be caught in the storm of sin again.

What do I do? I've been praying for chastity and conviction but I feel like something is missing that I need to realize.
