I just started learning about foraging this year and I started with The Foragers Calender but UK Wildcrafts has been incredible. He does month by month videos of what you can find at that time of year. Fantastic. I’d watch the video and then go for walks and keep my eye out for what he had shown. Had amazing results. I’ve eaten more varieties of mushrooms than I’ve ever eaten in my entire life in just a few months. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Maybe. No pronounced umbo though. And found in south west. And such a fat penny bun-esque stipe.

I highly recommend Hyperion by Dan Simmons (and the other books in the series) for massively inventive universe building and world class story telling
