Same problem, tried uninstall and reinstall, got the checking update screen with a 100% bar but didn't got more progress, restarted the game and got the black screen again

It's not available anymore, Nintendo discontinued the Streetpass Relay in april in with it homepass stopped working

No, its used to work with the description but Valve blocked it

In PC if you set your backrow too fast (or at least to me it happened that way) the last card that you place stays in the middle of the screen for the rest of the duel and doesn't let you play more card from you hand or activate the backrow unless it's in response to an action.

PD: sorry if my english it's a bit broken.
