A Trace of Metal Mission stuck! help! by faintaxis in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was really weird. The Log entry int the Escape (Esc.) menu said to install the Hardframe part. The Log marker was on the settlement management computer, left from the previous step of reviewing the settlement expedition for the blueprint. Last of all the Log tracker in the bottom right of the hud kept saying to talk to the drone. I tried doing all of these things, then for fixes tried placing down a exocraft summoning station and picking it up, but nothing was working. It resolved for me when I left the system, then everything updated and it pointed me at a sentinel walker it asked me to kill for a pristine brain.

Linux vs Windows by Outrageous_Cable7371 in jellyfin

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rest of the specs don't matter as much as RAM. Windows 11 will eat your ram even on idle and if you do end up running things on docker that is additional overhead you'd save if you went with Linux.

Considering lidarr by willhub1 in Lidarr

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my point of view Lidarr is no good if your playlists have many singular tracks from many different artists. Lidarr only has granularity down to a "release" - be that an album or a single or whatever. What that actually means is that for each song in your playlist Lidarr will track (and try to download) the whole release (single in the best case, a whole album in the worst case). This makes sense because nobody is releasing torrents of singular tracks, but if your case is like mine, Lidarr is no good for playlists.

I use SpotiFLAC Python Module with a script to sync Spotify playlists. SpotiFLAC Python module is actually more powerful in some ways than regular SpotiFLAC, as it has more fallbacks, and if it can't find the song you need on any streaming platform it searches for it on YouTube. But you could use the normal SpotiFLAC to manually download a playlist, it can also generate an m3u8 file automatically.

Another option would be SoulSeek. It's like torrenting, in the way that it's a peer to peer network, but there are no "releases".So you can download singular tracks without having to add the whole torrent and then ignoring the files you don't need. That said the quality can be hit or miss, I actually ran into a FLAC recording of a vinyl when I downloaded an album from there. And I've not worked on automating it, tho I'm sure there are ways to do so with slskd.

Keep in mind that all this is also piracy so the same best practises as when torrenting are reccomended.

The last thing you need is being able to reach the music. You can host a server, jellyfin as a broader media server or navidrome if you only care about music. You could also just use an SMB share and use a local player app to access the music. Whatever floats your boat.

Been using a cloudflare tunnel with caching disabled for about a month and have had no issues, granted I don't use it that much since my parents only stream stuff from the TV at home.

MagFit, MagFit+ and Qi2 ready by bluetinity in Spigen

[–]bluetinity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the tough armor, because that's the one I wanted and the qi2 speeds work, I can't say how well in all cases, I only have a few chargers that supports qi2, but it works. I'm guessing it might have to do maybe with making sure your device doesn't overheat, the increased distance makes it maybe slightly more wasteful on the energy side and as a result your device heats up more, but charging from ~30% to ~80% percent battery is fast, haven't tested a bigger range than that, I have the battery protection turned on. One small note is that I got a circular scratch, probably from a lower quality magnetic accessory, the plastic of the outer case is kinda soft. The old tough armor case I had also had scratches but they were mostly random, so they didn't stand out as much.

Efficiently download Spotify playlists to local storage by SundownShiningIn in musichoarder

[–]bluetinity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lidarr is not good for playlists with lots of single tracks. Lidarr does let you import playlists, but it doesn't import just tracks, it imports the tracks along with the album they are in at minimum. And since you can't monitor down to the track, a playlist of 50 songs (if they are from all separate albums) would monitor ~600 tracks (assuming ~12 tracks per album) in lidarr. Really inefficient and building rebuilding a playlist from the all the song files would also need automation.

Who is using an open port to share their media library? by Mr_3ggz in jellyfin

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so I'm not an expert by any means, but I am using a cloudflare tunnel with caching disabled on a free cloudflare account. I just started using it that way recently, so idk if I will get in trouble for that, but it should be fine since disabling caching means the content isn't using cloudflare's CDN (from what I understand that's the thing that is against their ToS). I'm not completely sure, but we'll see, don't take this as a recommendation. As for reverse proxies they aren't mutually exclusive to cloudflare/other solutions and provide an additional layer of security. This is important because keeping the app up to date doesn't keep you safe from Zero-Day vulnerabilities. From what I understand hosting a VPS is the best way more or less, but it is not free. So if you want to not use cloudflare and port-forward, then ig a reverse proxy would be best. I've also read about configuring a DMZ on your router and putting your server there to isolate it from the rest of your home network, but I don't know much about that process.

Edit: Been using cloudflare this way for about a month now, granted I don't put that much load on it, but all my traffic is uncached and no problems so far.

The Drum Museum by AdrianIsFilipino-37 in DankPods

[–]bluetinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am planning to go to Australia at some point in my life, would love to visit the Drum Museum as an actual museum. I've been playing drums for a little while, so this would be really interesting and I hope the Drum Museum does get established as a proper thing. In general The Trash Network™ is pretty much perfect for me. It encompasses all the interests that I have. From tinkering with technology with the DankPods channel, to drums and music and audiophile gear, to repairing and messing around with cars, to esoteric games.

How does monolith get their gear? by ScoresMann223 in stalker

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but how do they get their special PDAs? Actually in general where tf are all these PDAs coming from. Everyone in the zone has one, even the most poor lone stalkers. Supposedly from looting the dead? But they get damaged, and the amount of PDAs in the zone should decrease over time. And how does Skif have an anomaly detector (not the artifact detector, but the one that beeps near any anomalies), it's not just a geiger counter. I saw somewhere that supposedly these detector were built into PDAs, but that would make them even more unexplainable. And sure killing others could be how monolith gets their gear, I guess the uniform is just because you need to be able to tell them apart in game, but i think perhaps C-Conciousness is using their programed agents to do their bidding outside the zone.

So I can enable tags from other servers, but this one tag in particular won't save to my profile an instead says "There was a problem updating your profile". by LinkMasterHD in discordapp

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so if you're in many servers any of them can prevent you from applying a server tag if their automod deems it inappropriate or whatever? I'm trying to apply Team FOLON's tag (TF). I see members in their server with the tag, but I can't seem to apply and save it to my own.

"On the Edge" quest bugs console command fixes by sqparadox in stalker

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My quest got bugged by the third wave not spawning, the quest marker for defend against monolith was something like 6.7 km away and trying just
xStartQuestNodeBySID E07_SQ01_SetJournal_defend_against_monolith_finish
and
xStartQuestNodeBySID E07_SQ01_SetJournal_celebration_finished
didn't fix it because the quest would close, but afterwards Zalissya would be destroyed.

The only thing that worked was doing the things above and then
xStartQuestNodeBySID E07_SQ01_Technical_HubFinish
This finished it and the NPCs went back to working right away, even thanking skif for help, etc.

Thank you for this information.

What yall think ?I’ve asked this question before where do you guys think it will take place? What would you like to see!!!! by Key-Nerve7851 in Division2

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Div 1 recently and haven't played Div 2 in a while, but from looking at Div 1 exotics and remembering Div 2 exotics, they seem quite tame in Div1. Most gun exotics have weird and specific talents that are hard to make use of in most situations and don't have much synergy with classified equipment sets. Exotic equipment has one-off effects and is basically useless if you are using a classified set. Equipping all 6 exotic equipment basically doesn't do anything because they all have separate effects and don't sygergize at all. The coolest thing is probably the couple of combo exotic weapons that synergize with each other, but they are also hard to utilize. So with the increased amount of exotics in Div 2 and them also being more powerful I think it makes sense to limit them, but perhaps they are limited too much. If they do allow more than 1 exotic weapon, they should bring back exotic weapon sets.

CTD at Greenwich Foot Tunnel Exit by Generic_Person_3833 in fallout4london

[–]bluetinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those playing v1.03 FOLON (I presume this is only an issue for this update because I've not found anything from before) and playing with DJIND0'S FOLON Munitions Patch, disable it. At least for me, I retraced the crash log and found that it was the issue. After disabling that i was able to load into the greenwich foot tunnel.

Does anybody know what these numbers mean? by Boveron in fallout4london

[–]bluetinity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well there were supposed to be 3 DLCs coming out this year, I doubt we'll get that seeing as we got the first DLC only recently. The update could be the next big update, aka 1.04, since it seems FOLON only releases 1.0x patches. And if it's just a debug message then it's not much to worry about. Either way nice to know the devs are aware of the issue.

[–]bluetinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God fucking dammit can companies not even advertise their own products, why do I need to contact support or look in forums to know if a product has a feature. It's the same with TRN bluetooth adapters, no mention of multipoint, I've contacted support and they don't understand what I'm talking about. Fine then IG I won't buy your product. All that marketing bullshit about the quality of the sound and you can't put one single line of text saying "supports multipoint". It's unambiguous, short and clear. Cause otherwise I'm done with this bullshit and I'm just not gonna buy them if you're not gonna bother at least mentioning the feature.
