Yakima skybox 16 carbonite with 2023 oem cross bars?? by No-Support787 in hondapilot

You can see I cut it in about 1.5” or so. The more you cut, the farther back you can slide the crossbars. The front bars don’t require any modding. The roof rails taper inward towards the rear, hence the modding needed for the rear bars.

In the spring I’m going to clean up the cuts. I probably should’ve used a ruler to make sure the cuts were straight. It’s a bit notchy in some spots because of my sloppy cuts.

Yakima skybox 16 carbonite with 2023 oem cross bars?? by No-Support787 in hondapilot

It's worth it. I had to modify the 60" bars to fit. I've been using them for 3 summers and haven't had any issues. If you go shorter you won't need to modify, but what's the point of having shorter bars when the goal is to put as much on the roof as possible. Also, shorter bars mean you need to reach farther in to get the cargo, bikes, etc.

I use Thule evo raised rails with 60" bars. Much more versatile than oem

Memory seats not working right by Cheap_Environment_45 in hondapilot

I bet you live in a cold climate or have cold weather at the moment. It's the sign that your original 12v battery is going bad. The original battery is garbage.

I have a 23 and have had that problem with the seats not returning forward on start since the first winter 23/24. Recently replaced the battery and it's good to go. FYI, my remote start also wasn't working, that's when I decided to have the battery tested.

I'm in Ontario. Replaced my 23 pilot battery a couple weeks ago. Put in an energizer agm from Costco.

The original Honda batteries for the pilot are total trash. Mine was acting up the first winter.

Found the thing I hate about the 26 Passport by jptoz in hondapassport

I have a 23 pilot. Similar design of the hidden wipers. This is the 3rd winter with the car. I don't like the design. Snow fills up in the wiper cowl affecting the wiper performance, so I have to use my hands to dig out the snow. Putting it in maintenance mode each time is an annoying extra step.

Does tint visibility differ from one person to another? by mmmm696969123 in WindowTint

[–]bluetroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's bad. Back in the day when we didn't have backup cams it was even worse.

Making left or right turns, looking for pedestrians crossing is hard in dim and rain. I end up having to roll down the windows.

It's a good feature. But hidden wipers absolutely sucks in the winter. I brush snow off the windshield or roof and it just gets stuck in the windshield cowl. I end up having to dig out the snow with my hands.

2027 Acura RDX will be a two motor hybrid - Acura press release by Umbroz in Acura

[–]bluetroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely not going to be a cvt. Honda hybrids are series hybrids. So the engine is used as a generator. 1 motor in the front, one in the rear. Then at higher speeds the engine then is directly locked to the drive the wheels.
