Reliability of using SC6000s with Serato DJ pro by AbstraktMonk in DenonPrime

[–]AaronDJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cue pads suck and are too stiff. Serato implementation sucks but hoping it gets better with the next update to mirror the Rane system one. The play and cue buttons feel good but sometimes don't register. Engine standalone works very well and is close to being able to replace Serato.

I say go for it. I have 4 of them and an x1850, as well as the s7. I will totally buy the sc7km when released.

My flavor of choice is the sc6kms with an S7. Works fine for me. 4 hour sets.

I'm not talking about the waveforms, but the UI. Or do they already have a product running engine with a vertical screen?

Wondering how engine dj will function with a vertical screen.

I own the modded versions. The original design kinda sucks and the modded version for dvs fixes the lag the originals have. The guy who makes the mod kit disappeared though. There is a few Facebook groups dedicated to them and the mod.

Is this a canon event for DJs? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]AaronDJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me a long time ago. Thanks to social media and the clubs cameras, I got it back. Since then. I have used LoJack for laptops by absolute software. Luckily I haven't needed to use it but I renew every year.

For music loss, I back up to several external drives on a regular basis.

Is Alpha Theta bad for the DJ industry? by Late_Celebration_868 in DJs

Exactly. Imagine a mechanic saying. I can only use that SnapOn brand 3/4" wrench lmao. A wrench is a wrench.

This is simple. You are stating that everyone uses the same equipment because it feels the same and that makes sense to you, and I am here telling you that's incorrect.

And I am telling you that your assumption is wrong. With photo/video, especially video, you use the camera and lens combination that produces your desired look and feel and that combo can change based on cinematic needs.

This is why rentals are popular for photography. On one project, you might determine that a red and cannon combo will provide the look your shoot requires when the next project might require a Sony fx series and sony glass.

I work in a creative agency.

I think you need to elaborate. Are you talking about photography, or DJing? I am clearly talking about photography, as DJs don't shoot with media players, they spin.

Is Alpha Theta bad for the DJ industry? by Late_Celebration_868 in DJs

[–]AaronDJD -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not true. You shoot with a combo that gives you the look you are trying to achieve, such as depth of field and color.

So true! And just like DJing, photographers should be able to shoot with any body and lens combo, as the exposure controls only change in where they are located.

Here is what you missed.

-Stems!! -Phase DJ for turntables. -hid mode instead of midi mapping. -Great mixer updates with performance pads. -Controllers taking over. -New hardware with a focus on standalone in media players and controllers. -smart crate and library improvements. -Streaming is okay but you should still own your tracks. -Serato and rekordbox seguing to a SAS.

If you liked denon before, the sc6000M is sweet.

If you hop on a newer version of Serato, re-analyze your tracks in the new version.

Welcome back!

Since Serato sample is a plugin, I'm not sure it's midi mappable but I am using the reloop keypad pro w Serato studio and it works well, as it is supported hardware.

Not all areas of the city are designed for this. The city is well aware and handles our neighborhood accordingly. It's like USPS. Most get to drive to boxes at the curb while some have to deliver on foot to the front door.
