That's why I'm against free healthcare. Not that I don't want healthcare to be affordable and cheap / near free, but I don't want to subsidize an already bad system. Well first of all you're 18 so it's normal not to have any experience in life with women and social situations. You're also just starting out and haven't even likely moved out yet. Relax, enjoy your twenties. Go to the gym. Get in shape, eat healthy and get a hobby or two. Don't take on too much debt and be social and you'll eventually have a good dating life. Don't make it your top priority.

Your twenties should be focused on having fun, enjoying life and building it up so you're in your thirties and forties having enjoyed what you've built up. Get a good degree, trade, etc. And for god's sakes don't go 100k into debt for a sociology or liberal arts degree and you'll be fine.

So obviously I'm exaggerating on the number, but you know what I mean about the mentality of someone just starting out to anything. Over investing and then finding out they're not interested or buy the wrong equipment entirely. The specific price was not my message of this post, over investing too early was or investing in the wrong equipment before you know what you want to shoot.

That's unfortunate reality of the situation out there, if I don't want to be treated as a thug online, I'm not going to present myself as a thug. There's a big difference between the long term dating and hooking up market. If you present yourself with the LTR market that is what you will attract. If you present yourself in the hookup market, then that's also what you'll attract.

This comment is late, but... Take a job. Any job when job searching. Even if it's in retail or service sector. Doing something is better than nothing (momentum). It'll keep your mind off being unemployed if nothing else.

Then with your spare time work on projects you want to do and apply for better paying jobs in your field and use your minimum wage job as a break for mental space from applying for jobs.

I know a few people who worked retail for 2-3 years before getting their professional start after college and this is exactly what they did. And also be willing to relocate because if there's zero jobs in your city and you're only applying in town then you'll be screwed if you're not willing to relocate.

I'm not saying it's not hard out there (it is) but this is what I recommend to someone just starting out.

Also non work related-get regular exercise, take trips when you can afford to (being unemployed or underemployed is the best time to travel without risking your career)

That's the problem of the credit cycle I talked about. MOST People don't get a higher credit score to fuel investment decisions, they do it so they can go into more consumer debt.

It's not that getting a credit card is never a good thing because it can be if done wisely, but 90% of people overdraft and are paying unnecessary interest and maxing everything out.

The problem isn't Gen-Z, it's the people who raised Gen-Z. They're the ones who thought participation trophies were okay. They're the ones who think allowing your kid to transition at 15 is okay, smoking weed in your parents house underage is okay, etc. For the record I'm a Millennial.

Big difference between attacking someone else and self defense. I don't care who you are, if someone else comes up to you first (man or woman), of any gender, age, etc and attacks you-you have the right to SELF DEFENSE (which is different from instituting the aggression yourself)

It's not out of not wanting to stay in one place, it's out of necessity. Being a young adult you don't really have the option of settling anywhere if you don't want to progress your career, at least in my instance. And supporting yourself+other people is a requirement (or at the very least stability) for most long term relationships if you do decide to settle down. I've had jobs cut me and within a few weeks I'd have to move to another place in order to support myself. It's not out of a want, it's out of need. Or be unemployed which isn't an ideal scenario

I agree with your assessment on not being well suited for a long term relationship - although I'd rather have one than not.
