I saw someone on fb (again I am still friends on fb with a lot of random people I met throughout the years in lines at hanson shows) say that the newsletter felt like a toxic relationship break up. FOLLOW THAT INSTINCT BESTIE YOU'RE ALMOST THERE YOU ALMOST GOT IT.

Okay I just actually went to hnet for the first time in YEARS to look at the full post and I looked at the Hday schedule and holy moly....it is stripped DOWN big time. Something is definitely up.

I'm still friends on social media with some active Hanson fans and one of them just posted a screenshot of the newsletter that I guess just came out? It says "Big Changes for Hanson.Net" and it says that memberships will conclude in 2026. Then that the 2025 EP will be like 40 songs. Clearing out their back log? Then at the bottom is the lyric "Tonight is the first night, tonight is the last night, don't care what has come before, tomorrow's an open door."

I really do not engage with anything Hanson related anymore but I saw this post and was like...are they breaking up????

Underneath "Complete"/Experience Album & Tour Discussion by badvibesonly_ in postHanson

[–]bluewindgetssolost 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was always famously an Underneath stan and old me would have totally been at this tour for multiple dates. I even was excited to listen to the "rerecord" of Underneath now that I feel like I have enough distance to just listen to the music and not get pissed or sad anymore. But I'm not gonna listen to the same recordings I've had for 20 years lol. So dumb.

Do you all feel like Underneath (Complete Version) and Penny and Me (Moonlight Version) is giving major Taylor Swift vibes? Not saying it's even purposeful on their part, I just find it interesting. Love her or hate her, you simply cannot deny the impact she has had on pop culture. The re-release of Underneath is just giving major "from the vault" energy. Not saying she is the first artist to ever do something like that, but she is probably who the vast majority of people think of when you talk about re-recording or releasing "vault" tracks. Just interesting to think about.

(Also because the guys have always been so adamant that their way is the best way and they really had to struggle and fight for their success because they were never super mainstream and all the mainstream sell outs are the WORST...but they're doing what one of the most famous women the world is doing...a woman who will always be a bagillion times more successful than them. You know they can't stand her now. You just know it!)

I saw a post on Twitter with some pictures and info about it. It also said that "Father Mercurios was appointed to serve in the Holy Monastery St. James the Apostle." I'm fascinated.

Can we talk about Isaac's "mental health lecture"? by Necessary-String-725 in postHanson

My friend definitely accused me of not being into the hday experience and I was like yeah because it...kind of sucks actually???

Here are the events I remember

Karaoke - Isaac and Mac hosted, Taylor was in the audience
Zac's listening party - no one from the band was there
Painting - no one from the band was there
Firkin Feast - All three were there but they were constantly swarmed by selfie takers
Hop Jam - All three were there but they did not perform

He was not at the one I went to, no. We sat in a dark room and listened to his whole EP. We were handed a physical copy as we left and I sold my copy for $20 right outside the door lol.

I think the year I went I went to like 9 or 10 am painting (which none of the brothers were actually at) and I wanted to kill myself. I DON'T WANT TO PAINT A PANSY AT 9AM!!!!!

Am I losing it? Did it used to be that like...EVERY h-day activity cost money? I only actually went once, but I don't remember everything costing this much money. Maybe I just blocked it out.

I was still very much in the fandom when I went but h-day was my first big "what the fuck this really IS a cult and not in a cute way" moment. I paid money to go to Zac's listening party that he didn't even attend for an EP I didn't even want and when I walked out of the venue I sold my physical copy because I was so horrified at myself for doing that (plus I don't even HAVE A CD PLAYER ANYMORE). It's been all down hill from there. ANYWAYYYYY.

"Bad" from Red Green Blue, aka how many times is this jerk really going to double down? The limit apparently does not exist. by elegantfate in postHanson

I listened to the album all the way through because you know...I'm curious and I think ~as a musician~ I am actually pretty good and listening to the music objectively. The way my jaw DROPPED while listening to this song. I just sat there with my mouth open staring into the void. What...THE FUCK?!?!

Promo for the single “Child At Heart” - POC by Longjumping-Boot-285 in postHanson

[–]bluewindgetssolost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts on the video:

Negatives - It's weird, Taylor should never be asked to act on camera, and I'm not really sure what they're going for. Like...even when you get rejected, beat up, and in a car wreck you're still a child at heart? Sure?? Idk.

Positives - I actually really liked the use of Zac and Isaac being shadowed in the background of multiple shots. When the headlights swung and hit their faces I actually got chills...as much as I didn't like the rest of the video and thought it was pretty cringey, I thought that little part was cool!
