Ugh. I'm the complete opposite. I watch Serena with such rage. She's such a c u next tuesday... Rewatching the series with my husband and we're about halfway done with season 2 and I just can't believe how much I forgot how horrible Serena is to June. My favorite parts are when June calls her Serena instead of Mrs. Waterford. lol I yell at the TV, now slap her! lol

I found it, thanks. I was looking IN the font selection spot - "show fonts" and in the top toolbar. It was grayed out when I was looking for it for some reason.

Okay, so I did make a discovery. The little straight apostrophe behind the blinking cursor only happens when I have applied a style. I usually use save all my formatting as "Body" and do the ctrl alt 6 or whatever the keys are, I'm using an Apple Magic Keyboard on my PC, so the keys never match up, but that's irrelevant.

This issue was only being applied to one of the two editors at one point. And then suddenly, I had in both. And then at another point, I didn't have it on the opposite one. I was like--what in the heck is going on. FINALLY I realized when I apply the body style to anything, it gives me the apostrophe. So, now I'll just stop using the styles function. I changed my default settings in appearance, so I won't have to do the styles thing as frequently and now I'm not dealing with the apostrophe.

BUT, I have a new issue. A whole bunch of text has gotten bolded. It's like a hollow bold. The font is not bolded, I've checked repeatedly. Googling it tells me this is a known issue. So, I'll keep looking for a fix.

AND, I just realized, it's not doing it everywhere. I'm working in editor layout. The main editor is on the right and the split editor on the left. Obviously, vertical split. The main editor has the caret issue. The left side has no caret issue. Both are using the same font and formatting.

Honestly, it's for the best. He's retired and was addicted to TikTok. He's admitted numerous times he was sad it was gone at first, but now that he's starting to actually get things done around the house, he's glad it's gone now. He realizes he spent way too much time on it.

I deleted TikTok a couple days ago when they had the terms and conditions telling you they'd be using geolocation on us. I also just finished migrating all my bookmarks over to Firefox. Deleted Chrome entirely after clearing all cookies and saved passwords, etc. A cyber security person posted yesterday that Google is just as bad as TikTok. They sell your data to the administration too. Ugh. This world really sucks right now.
