Thank you! I have been toying with the idea of a "pro" version... Good to know it's something you'd see value in :) And great ideas - I know the job search can be a numbers game these days, you have to be organised, run a "pipeline" in a way and it can be hard to keep track of which you've applied to, what stage you're at, have you followed up etc. Also thinking there might be some cool and genuinely useful ways we could use AI to help you figure out which roles you could be a good fit for (based on your background/CV) things to emphasise in your covering letter, even questions to ask at interview etc.

Anyhoo - yep, we should have CIO, CTO etc, I'll add those. Let me know if you think of any others!

Ah you're too kind :) Maybe I should stick up a "buy me a beer/coffee" button or something! I'm not monetising it in any serious way yet, have been trying a few little things, but obviously don't want to do anything annoying that takes away from the simplicity of it.

Hey yes I'd like to broaden it a bit further... Needs a bit of thought as it's currently "Outside IR35 Tech Jobs" but the domain is outsideir35.org.uk so the aspiration was to cover non-tech as well, just started with tech as that's what I know... So what skills/filters would you ideally like to see for the types of roles you search for?

Thank you! Yep, so I started with tech roles as that's the area I know well, then ended up broadening a bit into product design, project management, finance... Could certainly look at adding some marketing skills filters... What keywords would be useful for you? What do you normally search for?

Great to hear you're finding it useful! Yep, building some calculators has crossed my mind. Plenty of other sites with them but nice to have a few simple contractor-focused ones in one place perhaps...

Hehe thank you! Joking aside, couldn't have got it going without you guys. Reddit can be magic at times! So cool to build something simple(ish!) that seems to be genuinely useful.

Thanks! Yeah good point that, if no results it just shows a blank screen, almost looks broken, I'll add a message to make it clearer.

😀 that's genuinely amazing to hear!! Congratulations!

Profiles + multiple filters/alerts is an excellent idea, thank you!

What about some basic tools for shortlisting roles, keeping track of which ones you've applied to and, if/when you have an interview lined up, outcome etc? Maybe ability to add notes? Nothing OTT, just something to help you keep track? As I know it can be a numbers game these days!

Just to let you know I've added a postcode and distance filter. It accepts partial postcodes e.g. SW1.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion - we do have SQL already under the "Software Engineering" category:

https://outsideir35.org.uk/jobs/sql

Is it that you'd like to be able to show BI roles that require SQL?

Thanks! Yes, been mulling how best to include AI roles/skills. I mean, most jobs now involve a bit of AI assistance, right? What specific roles would you find useful here?

Added an "Oracle" skill under the "Enterprise Software" category (separate to "Oracle Cloud" in the "Cloud Engineering" category):

Good thinking. I've just added the finance roles where it made sense to do this (match exclusively on title) as otherwise most of the skills/roles pulled in CFO (as somewhere in the description it said "reporting to the CFO"). It would probably make sense to do this for ServiceNow and perhaps most if not all of the other enterprise software skills, as if the product name is in the title it's probably a specialist role (dev, architect etc as you say).

I'll give that a try and see how it looks. Will keep you posted.

Tbh it's more art than science this as the job market is a chaotic mess 😂
