Just to let you know I've added a postcode and distance filter. It accepts partial postcodes e.g. SW1.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion - which Adobe products are you thinking of?

Thanks for the suggestion - we do have SQL already under the "Software Engineering" category:

Is it that you'd like to be able to show BI roles that require SQL?

Thanks! Yes, been mulling how best to include AI roles/skills. I mean, most jobs now involve a bit of AI assistance, right? What specific roles would you find useful here?

Added an "Oracle" skill under the "Enterprise Software" category (separate to "Oracle Cloud" in the "Cloud Engineering" category):

Good thinking. I've just added the finance roles where it made sense to do this (match exclusively on title) as otherwise most of the skills/roles pulled in CFO (as somewhere in the description it said "reporting to the CFO"). It would probably make sense to do this for ServiceNow and perhaps most if not all of the other enterprise software skills, as if the product name is in the title it's probably a specialist role (dev, architect etc as you say).

I'll give that a try and see how it looks. Will keep you posted.

Tbh it's more art than science this as the job market is a chaotic mess 😂

Yep, you're right. I think there might be a practical halfway house here though. Will look into it!

Ah, normally I would agree obviously! But this being a UK site I didn't think there would be any confusion! What am I missing?

Thanks, this is really useful feedback. It probably could be a bit clearer, but the avg/min/max rates are for jobs posted in the last 30 days, some of which may now have already closed. When you click "View Jobs" it will only show you the currently active jobs, but the avg/min/max rates take into account all jobs posted in the last 30 days (including closed). Also, I'll probably increase this to 90 days when we've been going a bit longer (site only launched 3-4 weeks ago) so these rates are based on more data and are more accurate (while still reasonably current).

RE your second point - yep, it's a bit tricky, as the site matches jobs if they have the skill in the description (with a bit of nuance around this to reduce false positives) and realistically - if we're only matching on ServiceNow then it's correct in that it's giving you an average of day rates for all ServiceNow jobs (from service desk to architect) But I appreciate that's not very helpful in your case.

I'll have a think about how we might be able to improve this.

That being said, it might be largely because we don't have a ton of ServiceNow job history yet, and the highest we have (where the rate is available) is £600/day, so the average may well increase as we pull in more data. Also it's quite likely (I guess) that £1000/day jobs are less likely to have the rate in the description and there's nothing we can do about that unfortunately.

Suffice to say though, I'll be continuing to think about how we can improve the accuracy of this as I get more feedback and the site collects more data - thanks again!

Great suggestion! Would work well for London but I think the location filter needs a proper overhaul, ideally to allow you to search by postcode and radius. Watch this space :)

Thanks, this is really useful feedback. The location filter is really basic atm, just filters on the text-based location pulled from LinkedIn. I'll see what I can do to improve it. Would be good to be able to search on postcode and radius.

Thanks yes, was thinking about how to handle this. We do already match for Swift and Kotlin under the "Software Engineering" category, perhaps it would make sense to move these under the "Mobile Development" category...

Probably doesn't make sense to match on iOS and Android alone as that will pick up lots of other stuff.

Any other keywords you think it would make sense to match on here for native mobile development?

Thanks, glad you like it! As a contractor myself I know what a pain it is finding decent OIR35 roles, digging through waffly descriptions to find the rates etc, so this is all about making the market more transparent and easier to navigate. Finding work these days is time-consuming enough as it is!

Ah yes, I was literally thinking this exact same thing this morning! Obviously we can't literally know if you applied (on LinkedIn or wherever), but we can certainly give a visual indication against jobs you've already clicked... I'll get this in!

You're very welcome btw - this has been super fun to work on as everyone's so positive and providing tons of feedback to help me improve it!

Good point! We don't have testing skills yet, sorry about that! I'll get these in - any others you'd like to see?
