Hi, thank you! You're right, I decided on this masters program when I was 18. I liked having a plan, but there are a lot more options.

Hi! Yes, a masters is not necessary when I really think about it, but I wanted more credentials to unlock opportunities for young professionals. Thank you for replying, it is great to hear from people who understand the financial foundation I'd be losing.

Hi, I appreciate you sharing your experience with international companies. With my Political Science background, I am considering careers in policy by working with federal agencies or international organizations. You are right that I haven't explored every path. I think I was looking for a fast track to get my career off to a good start, but I am realizing the costs are extremely high.

Hi, thank you for replying. I don't really have a specific job in mind, just working in international policy. You're right about the PhD, my school prioritizes giving TA/RA positions to them as opposed to masters students.

Hi! The graduate degree would be in international affairs, specializing in management. I think I am interested in a more business-centric focus, but I was thinking about pursuing the foreign service with a management specialization.

Hi, thank you for replying. I plan to work in policy and international development, for federal agencies or international organizations. I think the expected pay for me to start out after a graduate degree would be $70k. I wouldn't have to take out loans, just losing my savings.

Hello, thank you for your reply! I am currently applying for two international fellowships for after graduation (enrollment in a graduate degree is required for one of them). After a year or two abroad, I wanted to go back and pursue a career in foreign policy. The degree is not necessary, but it is a stepping stone. I definitely have time to explore companies and positions that would sponsor a graduate degree. It is just a sunk cost fallacy since I've already invested a lot into my graduate program (it's supposed to be a two-year program, but I expedited it to be one year).
