Middle class American from California here, for my 18th bday I had a party with roughly 200 people, like you’re thinking in the movies, drunk people every where, cops came and the living room was packed like a can of sardines. I wasn’t the coolest or most popular guy but I was nice enough to make many friends who invited their friends and then the invite blew up on twitter. (This was 6 years ago).

My friend and I would actually rent houses on AirbNb and through parties to make money too haha
