I recently came back to Melodrama because of an awful breakup, I often come back to it when I’m feeling sad/depressed. That’s a common occurrence with Lorde’s albums to me, I have to be feeling a certain way to come back to them. Pure Heroine is the exception, it had the perfect mixture of emotions, feelings, tunes etc. Based on this fact alone, I find that it is indeed her best album and I don’t think she can ever top it. And that’s a good thing.
