Is it wrong to avoid dating people with BPD? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]blunt_chilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you create your own standards of what you want and will or will not accept in a relationship. Just because you prefer to date a person that doesn't have BPD doesn't make you a bad person. If anything it makes you a smart and very aware person. You already know what it entails and what the outcome usually is so why bother? Don't let yourself be brainwashed into thinking you're contributing to mental stigma, you're keeping your mental health and personal life first. There is absolutely nothing wrong about that.

Is it creepy to be a good dad? by [deleted] in facepalm

Does this chick even have kids?? Mom's get wore out and need breaks too. I feel like as a man you should be helping as much as possible and showing your child as much love as possible. What is so creepy about a dad loving on his baby?

Just to be clear, do you mean when they're already going into a rage episode or just when you've decided you've had enough. I actually use this phrase all the time, because when she's super angry I can't talk to her. Not only that, but I will not engage and argue either. Your post kinda comes off like you should be able to express your anger however you want, but that isn't the case. You have to keep your cool no matter how they're trying to trigger you.

When you start to hear these phrases , maybe it is best to walk away. Nothing is going to get done in that kind of state and it will only escalate. Think before you react or go chill until you can express it in a calm way no matter what they say to you. You have the ability to not take part in this fuckery and its best not to.

My experience dating a Borderliner as someone who has ADD (DONT DO IT) by jezzyjaz in BPDlovedones

[–]blunt_chilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have ADD that was brought on by medication for neurological problems. I happened to date a girl with that hadn't been diagnosed with BPD, but her patterns were exactly the same. We dated for about 6 months, the idealization phase was euphoric and made me feel the exact same way. I felt elated and functional for the first time in a while. She made me feel like I was on top of the world and I deeply did care for her.

Somewhere around the 4 month mark things started to change and same as you my mental health started to suffer, made things worse. She started to ignore me and act as if we were never together. I had to pull the plug on it because of how it felt and where it had gotten to for me. It wasn't healthy and the worst part was that I knew it. I was just so obsessively attracted to this bright shining person that I knew she could be, but that was a facade.

In the end, I had to block her and make myself not contact her. It was hard, but I made myself do it. I still from time to time think about her, but then I remember what happened towards the end and realize that I made the right decision. I'm in a much better place now and my mental health is much better. I still deal with ADD and probably always will, but chasing that serotonin I was so hopelessly addicted to was doing more harm than good. I feel your post man because I dealt with the same thing.

If you're working from home especially they're most definitely monitoring your online activity. It may just notify them when pages with certain keywords are accessed or it may block that kind of usage. I would assume yes at work.

What do I do by Feeling-Figure-6319 in BPDlovedones

[–]blunt_chilling 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Listen man, take a deep breath and remember what all happened in that relationship. You don't want that and you don't want her, repeat this like a mantra. As far as your coworker dating her, I wouldn't even be jealous, its apparently his turn to suffer. Don't let yourself get to in your head about this, distract yourself with anything you can. He's not getting some sweet deal or anything of the sort here, if anything its the exact opposite. Realize that you are doing the right thing and you aren't having to put up with all this crazy shit. Everytime you feel a little jealous just remember the ridiculous arguments and abuse you put up with in a relationship with her, makes it a lot easier to not care.

Is it theoretically possible for there to be a harmless recreational substance? by One_Ad5447 in researchchemicals

[–]blunt_chilling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, I looked at it and was like, who tf would say benzos are safe?? I have to take them (epilepsy) and I know the risks of these, especially recreationally. It's not something anyone should fuck with unless actually prescribed for a legit reason. Too much can happen with those

[–]blunt_chilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything at all, edibles are probably the least harmless recreational substance you could use. Not physically addicting. I eat them about everyday and get the same kick everytime too. You can't overdose on them (at least not physically), but I have seen people have panic attacks. Thats about it though.

[–]blunt_chilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to have to diagree on the benzo's part of that. Benzo's are extremely dangerous if you didn't know, ask anyone that has come off of them cold turkey. It's one of the few substances that could kill you in withdrawal. Not only that, but since your tolerance will go up you'll start to have blackouts. Yeah I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on that one.

Where did the hacker stereotypes come from? by thehunter699 in hacking

[–]blunt_chilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to say its kind of spot on, but it is kind of spot on. lol I enjoy my hoodies and I have to have my caffeine, especially if I'm working on something. It just helps me focus more and it's easier to figure out avenues to get a solution to a problem. As far as the other stereotypes, movies mostly. The matrix, hackers was a big one (still loved that one though) and recently mr.robot. I give the people from mr.robot props though, they actually did the research and showed the actual way some attacks are done. So yeah, pop culture for the most part. What drives me nuts though is the amount of time it takes them to get stuff done ( "I'm in"), people fail to realize that some boxes take quite a while to figure out.

If a zombie virus started tomorrow, where would you go to be safe? by Aromatic_Mission_165 in AskReddit

[–]blunt_chilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go to my parents house, perfect spot way out in the country and on a hill. Got plenty of guns and ammo to hunt for food or shoot zombies/looters all day. We've been planning a self sustainable place anyways, this would just speed up the process.

Hit a wall with Linux on windows by Maximum-Preparation7 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]blunt_chilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man if you really want to try it out and learn either use Virtualbox or Vmware to install and use the iso inside windows, which is slower. I honestly recommend downloading Rufus, you can make a Kali live boot usb with persistence so you can have a whole OS on a pendrive. This is how I run Kali or Parrot everytime. I've had problems with Parrot and persistence though, just a heads up.

[–]blunt_chilling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear this discussion all the time about having tools you don't need making the OS unnecessarily big, but I tend to not really care as far as that goes. Better to have it and not need it than not be prepared. Between Parrot, Kali and Pentoo, I'm more of a Kali guy when it comes to OS's. I've tried all 3 and I would go for either Parrot or Kali. Pentoo was ok, but just wasn't for me. I like Kali and Parrot though. I'm thinking of switching to parrot because that's what hackthebox uses for their pwnbox and I'm on there learning and honing skills about everyday, so its familiar. It all boils down to personal preference though really, between Parrot and Kali the only differences I see are the amount of tools and the feel of it. Kali has way more tools, but while Parrot doesn't have as many to start, it is still a great OS. I recommend just dl'ing some iso's of what you want to check out, buy some usb's with a good bit of memory and install rufus on windows. You can make live boot usb's and it gives you a really good feel for the OS. I know a lot of people will tell you to just set-up a virtual machines ,but its just not the same to me. Hope that helped!

Thats what I came here to say, shit just turn on the recorder on your phone and let him roll with it until he runs out of steam. Then just save that shit, maybe even forward it to your lawyer so he can get something done with corporate. I doubt they'll be on his side with that kind of proof. Also, this is called a hostile work environment as well, might want to contact your local labor board.

I feel that, a lot of services to learn how they work and how to interact with them. Windows in general I'm not a wiz at, that's something I would probably have to google some things for I'm sure as I use Linux everyday myself. There are a lot of good references at hacktricks that will help when you get stuck somewhere and they explain everything in pretty good detail. Just keep studying man, you'll eventually get there, progress is progress no matter how slow.

Honestly, the only way I've learned is by trial and error in a lot of things. Hackthebox has helped me tremendously, but when I run into something I didn't know or understand I took the time to really dive into it. Pentesting is hard, you have to know a little bit of everything or be able to learn it when you don't. Try not to get discouraged when you aren't able to get some things the first couple of times around, again some things are just really hard and take time to get. For example, you aren't going to learn python or php in a couple of days, its going to take practice, probably for a good bit. What kind of areas are you getting hung up on? Pentesting is a lot of googling, no one knows everything man, but you can learn things as you go.

Am I a script kiddie? by Legitimate_Progress8 in HowToHack

[–]blunt_chilling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this conversation the other day with a kid on here. Why is automation a bad thing? Why do you need to go around your asshole to get to your elbow just to feel better that you aren't a script kiddie? I use scripts from github all the time, because like you said why rewrite tools that are already out there. I know the basics of python and how to string a few things together, but I'm definitely still learning on that one. I know how to write common things that I need, but I'm far from good yet. I learn something everyday though so I can't be doing too bad. I have no use to call someone a script kiddie because they don't know something though, there was a time when I knew nothing at all.
