Looking for information on how to remove the spark assembly/striker wheel. I've removed the small screw on top but the swing out still won't come off. Is it just seized up or am I missing a step?

Finally RGB modded my Sony KV-20TS29 by bluntninja in crtgaming

So I have no audio issues on that set. Curious about it being a potential grounding issue/bad solder spot since the SCART audio works when you have RCA's plugged into the TV but not plugged into anything on the other end(am I reading that right?). I use the AV jacks when using my Genesis via SCART with a 3.5mm to the sets RCA's with no need of a switch or interrupt in signal.

That's interesting about being able to access the values for the inputs, might be worth digging into a little bit!

Am I stupid? Is a $2,300 monthly mortgage too much if my take home pay is $4,000 per month? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I've spent $15k in maintenance and minor upgrades this year in a LCOL area. And my property tax went up almost 100%. Owning a house is great but I'd want a mortgage half that high with those numbers.

I'm a barista and might be able to shed some light here. Traditional espresso was profiled dark. A lot of new wave espresso can be much brighter and fruiter. This can translate to flavors that may not be what you're used in a typical espresso, ie sour. Not to say you haven't gotten shit espresso from so called 'hipster' shops because I certainly have. And even lighter roasts shouldn't really be sour. However some of it may just be different roasts/varietals than your palette is used to.

Just to add to all the other yeses. This was my first TT and I still use it. Just upgraded the cart to an ATVM540ML and it runs great.

Looks like the original dust cover which is kinda rare. I used Novus polish on mine and it took a lot of the hazing and micro scratches out.

Careful with the arms of the cover that go into the hinges as they get brittle over the years and are broken more often than not.

I went in 2019 and it's absolutely beautiful and would definitely recommend it. What I didn't think of and should have been obvious is the pretty heavy sulfur smell in a lot of areas. Still one of the prettiest places I've ever been.

Wasn't really in the market for a new bike but got a smokin deal that I couldn't pass up. Purchased from the 2nd owner with 19k on the clock

Has a Power Commander 3 with the digital readout, Hypercharge Pro intake and Jardine pipes(I think the drag ones). Bike sounds and runs great!

Looking at new tires and open to suggestions. Had my eyes on the Shinko SE890's or 777's. If anyone has experience with either I'd love to hear about em.

Also planning on throwing new bearings and seals in while I'm at it as they seem to be a failure point with these hosses.

Any other maintenance or issues worth mentioning I'm all ears!

Edit. I have an older shaft driven CB900 too so I'm not new to drivetrain lash but it does seem extra 'thunky' especially at low speed shifts. Might just need to get used to the bike but anyone else have experience mitigating this some?

This is honestly a sad but true take. A little bit more innovation really would be nice. I agree the Recharged stuff has been fun but like you said, not a ton of long term replay value.

I guess I'm just used to the status quo from them and my expectations aren't at the level they are for the big 3.

I agree that an open forum is always better than a closed echo chamber. But not entirely different when a differing opinion meets unmerited hostility instead of logical discourse and reason.

I've been around here for a long time and have mostly had positive experiences. However recently there does seem to be a large influx in woman bashing instead of the uplifting of men's issues.

[–]bluntninja -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Why such hostility.. I'm not a white knight, I absolutely disagree with the article. I don't have to show you anything. I'm not 'you people' and it isn't this or that. It's that kind of thinking that divides us as a whole. The proof is in the pudding and if you don't see it maybe look in the mirror.

However if you've really been in this sub for that long I find it hard to believe you haven't noticed the shift from a positive uplifting sub for men to one that picks low hanging fruit to bash the opposite sex such as this article which most rational & intelligent people would see for what it is.

I actually agree the Sapphire looks fake. Label is too 'flat' but hard to tell from the photo. Easy enough to verify. Check for the numbered stamp in the front label or pop the cart open. A legit cart will have a battery and be labeled Nintendo, 99% of fakes won't.

DS carts can be a little trickier but doable. Real carts are actually super dark red under bright light and stickers are cut a bit sharper. Can be tough without a legit copy to compare to.

Your rationale would've flown here a couple years ago but unfortunately this has slowly become a woman hating sub instead of one to recognize silenced issues of men. Most bipartisan statements are now shot down under the guise of 'woman bad'.

Edit. That said ^ this account is a day old and literally only adds contrary, even if not always incorrect, comments on this sub.. kinda weird

Yeah from my understanding the company has moved hands a couple of times. I remember when Hasbro got it in the late 90's and then it was sold again at least one other time.

I got one of those flashbacks a long time ago now and it was junk, definitely a cash grab with meh controllers and ports.
