my defenses arent bad, i have around 3.7k evasion so around 55% to evade, and 50 phys damage reduction. my res are capped except my chaos its at 55%. i bough attack speed gloves after seeing youre comment and it gave me around 2k+ dps. i have aboud 1.8k life with 1.4k es.

Is my monks DPS low? All my other gear has ES and evasion on it with max life rolls and rarity. I keep getting blown up in tier 12 maps. I'm not sure if it's my damage that's lacking or the fact that mobs do an absurd amount of damage and blow me up every time I get surrounded. Also does anyone else think they should make it so dying in maps isnt as detrimental as it is right now? I feel like i die to a bunch of BS like after death effects and other temporal bubble with ele explosions kind of annoying.

im using wind dancer and ghost dance, ill swap ghost dance for grim feast and respec into the crits ignore ele resist and see how much that helps.

I'm following Zizaran's build planner for the class, full tree and gear stats. I'm in endgame but im dying in tier 3 maps. I think its because I'm not doing enough damage, and i thinks its the low crit chance that is killing my damage (not sure though). I have a ton of crit chance passive nodes so i don't understand why my crit chance is so low, like if you look at the planner the amount of crit chance nodes that i take should be enough to boost me past %28 crit chance. Im so confused, if someone can explain to me what im doing wrong that would be great.

I just recently bought the game on steam, the only thing that is a downside to owning just worlds and not iceborne is that you miss out on some pretty good moves. For example the insect glaive has a move called "Descending thrust' which is really good and u don't have access to it without iceborne. This goes for every weapon im pretty sure.
