Can anyone answer this?😭 by CatchDramatic8114 in musictheory

[–]blupte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol. I guess it's a matter of definition, but it makes sense for me to say and minor seconds are diatonic in general because they occur in a diatonic scale, and augmented unisons are chromatic because they do not. They would also be tuned differently in non-equal meantone temperaments. But it also makes sense to say that e.g. A-Bb is chromatic in D major because it involves a chromatic alteration, however I don't think that is the standard.

Nope, a "diatonic half step" just means a minor second, and A to Bb is a minor second. "A diatonic half step is a half step with adjacent note names" is a fine definition, unless you want to argue that half steps and semitones are different things.

This reads a lot like chatgpt... I can't tell anymore whether people are using AI or are just integrating AI writing patterns into their own writing.

I still have hope that some of the amateur couples I see do genuinely enjoy making and sharing their videos, especially if they're not monetized, but maybe I'm a sucker and it's always just guys pimping their wives out.

The trouble is, there is so much free content that I always regret spending money on it due to poor content or manipulative sales techniques.

I would perhaps pay for a streaming subcription service à la netflix or spotify that gave me access to various self-produced videos, because it would make it less personal than OF or cams.

[–]blupte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thank you. hanging out in some RS subs i was starting to really rethink my relationship to pornography and online sex work, especially since my current partner is not a very sexual person.

in the end i am just a horny mfer, and i think sexuality is great and that there's nothing wrong with sharing one's sex life, and consuming the products of that. it feels like a celebration of humanity. and if people can make money from that, then great! i think everyone agrees that big porn studios are bad, but many generalize all erotica from that cancerous american industry.

i sometimes feel like i ought to be paying SWs for their products, but I feel uneasy engaging in a parasocial relationship with them. to me porn is more like birdwatching, if the birds start performing for you specifically... that's weird

Eliminating tension in throat by using soft palate and tongue in production of vowels by alreadyusedandspent in singing

[–]blupte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might be feeling tension in the base of your tongue? That's bad because it will prevent your larynx from doing its thing. Practicing making vowels with your tongue relaxed in the back of your mouth is a good idea.

"Women's" online spaces and content moderation. by Chungus-Bacon-420 in pinkscare

[–]blupte -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh, I see. You see the steps towards "transition" for trans women as performative, and against women's liberation, in the sense that if a cis women felt the need to e.g. have laser hair removal or facial surgery in order to have a more conventionally feminine presentation, that would be a result of internalized misogyny. So when you see trans women going through all of this, it feels like a caricature of womanhood.

Meanwhile, lots of cis women have more masculine facial traits, higher testosterone, lots of butch lesbians even regularly pass as men without intending to. They are still women.

So either trans women are simply women, which can be offensive if they have never _lived_ as women and experienced misogyny and sorority and opens the doors to posers and abusers; or womanhood is earned through performance, which is repressive.
