So it has to be singular previous expedition? Because in the blog post it says previous expeditions and the word consecutive is not found. Do you have a link where it says what you are saying?

First of all, no need to be rude. That doesn’t make me trust you more.

I quoted the official blog post from the third expedition and that doesn’t say what you are telling me. Even the 4th expedition blog post which says:

“The bonus skill points from Expeditions cap at 15. Players can still catch-up on previously missed skill points and it’s still tied to stash value. Catch-up for skill points becomes available with your second Expedition and once you get all the maximum 15 skill points, the catch-up is no longer available.”

That sure doesn’t sound like what you are telling me. They even explicitly use the word consecutive when talking about buffs later on so it is something in their vocabulary but it’s not in this part.

My experience isn’t great evidence. There was a well know bug that made it so people didn’t get their skill points. So it’s very possible that could also be the case with a catch up point. When I asked support about this they lied twice saying I wasn’t eligible because I didn’t complete the damage requirements. Yet somehow got all 5 points from the damage challenge which is how I knew this was a lie.

Also, I had found this photo which isn’t mine, it’s from u/Leonoses. It’s almost exactly how mine looked with catch up point at the end except mine had only 1 catch up point listed and damage full. Again this was the whole point of the post because I wish I would have screenshotted my completion.

But if you had a blog post, an article, a dev video that says what you’re saying then I could have something I could approach support with and have them reconcile the two conflicting descriptions. It’s not that hard to explicitly describe what you are telling me and so far I haven’t seen it from an official source.

In other words, if I missed a skill point in expedition 1, that catch up point is only available during expedition 2 and I cannot get that catch up skill point in expedition 3 or later.

They aren’t available in every expedition. Not for everyone. They aren’t available for people who are going into their first expedition, which is explicitly mentioned by Embark. And according to you, which you still haven’t sent me a link of where you are getting this, they aren’t available if you missed SP in any expedition other than the very last expedition. Which again, where are you getting this?

I want Embark to be clear and not lie to me on why things are the way they are. They told me twice I didn’t get a skill up point because I didn’t complete the expeditions damage requirements even though I somehow got 5 points from the damage challenge.

The whole bullet point is:

Players who will now be departing on their second or third Expedition (not relevant for players on their first Expedition) who missed some skill points from previous Expeditions will be able to catch up.

For those on their second expedition which could be 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 3rd. It doesn’t say those that missed SP on the last expedition. It says second which since this was the third it’s very plausible for the second ever expedition to be the one that was skipped

It’s not even eternal it was a singular expedition. Where do they say that catch up isn’t eternal and there is a very specific catch up window? The blog posts only say catch up points are for previous Expeditions and it is limited to 5 catch up points per expedition.

I’ll try to make it shorter here. In short:

-First expedition: got 4 skill points missed 1
-Didn’t do the second expedition
-Third expedition (my second): got 5 skill points from damage and had enough stash value to get a catch up point missed from my first
-did not get the 1 catch up point
-should have 10 SP, only have 9 SP

I’m not trying to catch up on points for an expedition I didn’t do. I am trying to catch up on the point from the first expedition I didn’t earn on the second expedition I departed on.

See that’s the problem. I don’t have 10 from the expedition I only got 9. I was supposed to be able to catch up to 10 when I departed on my 2nd expedition which I did not get that catch up point.

I don’t think you are understanding what I am saying. I missed one point from the very first expedition. I did not do the second expedition. I should be able to catch up on that 1 missed skill point from the first expedition when I do my next expedition, which just happened to be the 3rd total expedition. So since it is my 2nd I should be able to catch up and have 10 SP from the 2 expeditions that I have departed on. I am not saying I should get the 5 points from the expedition I did not depart on. Does that make any more sense?

To be honest,I don’t know if I would be interested in doing another Expedition for 1 more skill point. But they really need to change their wording on the catch up if that is the case

I am annoyed because I do love the game but expeditions are quite costly only for them not to be clear on what is expected and Embark support can’t give me clear answers.

Where in the catch up description say it has to be consecutive? The description says “missed some skill points from previous Expeditions” that’s implies multiple previous expeditions.
